Is there any way to check this myself? to extract codes for the problem?
THanks in advance

I had the code up from pulling the airbag when I swapped on the E63 steering wheel paddles. I tried to clear it by pulling the battery but that didn't work. Ended up having to have the dealership clear it.

Mine was purposely done though so I don't know you might have an actual problem somewhere. Go get it cleared (~$30) and see if it comes back.

I am no MB expert, but my brother said there is an issue with wiring to the steering wheel that causes the airbag light to come on. I noticed that the car I just bought had the same repair.

Mine comes on and off with no consistency, I was told it might be a loose connection somewhere. Odd part is that I purchased the car Saturday, and drove it 16 hours up to Maryland with no lights, etc.

Well while at my buddies shop i grabbed his Snap On Modis scanner and plugged in.
The code said I have driver and passenger airbags that are made by different manufactures.

I cleared it,guess i will see if it comes back, just glad i didnt have to pay to have it scanned
