Love my E63 but...

I need a little more back seat legroom. My kids are getting bigger and I hate driving my wife's r500 on weekends. I want something at least as fast as the 63, but in this economy I don't want to spend more than 60k. I don't really want the new idrive/command/ dially-thing computer interface of the big BMW, Benz, or Audi. Can anyone tell me why I shouldn't buy a low mileage 2006 S65 with a CPO? I don't mind a few grand extra a year in maintenance. Do we know how these things hold up? I'd imagine that a s65 motor would hold up at least as well or better than a tuned s600, cause at least the stock internals are built to handle 600 hp's...

Yup, a CPO S65 is your best bet. They are really nice. I'll be in your situation in a couple years.

The problem ain't the kids, It's me. I'm 6'6" plus and I have the seat back as far as it can go, and I have to recline it a bit to fit right. On the bright side, I effectively have massage seats with my kid back there, as long as he kicks the seat in a regulated pattern. Hard to train, though, and a bit rough on the seat back. Z

And good luck finding one my friend

There were less than 100 ever imported into the states. I have seen two in my life in or around Pittsburgh. The ONLY one I have ever seen come up for sale was priced over 50K

PS: Good luck finding an S65 for a reaonable price, aka under 50K. Buy a 06 S600 and get a Jerry tune. Better performance wise and a H_ll of alot cheaper than a stock S65 that is.

+1 Watch the insurance premiums on the S65, higher than a cat's a$$.
