Highest Mileage e55/63 here?
I'll call BS on that one......
Bought my car about 3 years ago with 25K on the odometer....it's now at around 47,000 miles. I've had PLENTY of "opportunities" to pay for repairs in that time period.
This time of year (when it's cold and dreary) I always tend to get down on the car for needing so much attention, but once the warmer weather arrives and the car is all cleaned-up, looking sharp and wrinkling the pavement with all of that glorious torque..... I tend to forget those quibbles.
...feels like a bit of a dysfunctional relationship at times.

2.) They want to brag about how much they DON'T drive their cars.
I personally drive the heck out of mine!! Almost 103,000 miles, and planning to pile on many more!
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I have only owned it for 6,000 miles and 5 months. The PO replaced about $8K worth of components before I took ownership. You could say I purchased a "re-conditioned" E55.

Going to keep going and going. I keep up on the maintenance myself, so far the costliest part of the car is keeping rear tires on it just driving conservatively....not to mention the multiple rims i have bent on potholes. I'll update when it hits 200K. And she still cleans up pretty well i must say....

also interior creaks when going over any uneven surface, probably due to the pano roof.
previous owner spent 10k at the dealer not to long ago. all they did was brakes, rotors, battery, fluids. i pickup the car then the conductor plate dies.
also i have a gerbel in my heater motor that comes and goes.

Granted I just got my E63 in June but my commute is 85 miles round trip. Did I mention it's my only car?
Cars that sit for a while are the ones that need attention. Drive it!!!

I drive mine regularly but don't have anywhere too far to go most of the time. It gets driven weekly but I'm only averaging 6k miles a year (49k so far). Cars need to be driven and run hard once in awhile.
