Why not just get the OEM rotors with Akebono pads for the same price?

I have no idea -- but i would be interested in some rotors later -- I was curious about these rotors too --- I will defn pass on the pads -- I love my EBC reds -- what a bargain and amazing stopping power

Ok so wait a minute,,, I just got a quote this morning from the MB dealer for $120 a rotor for the fronts. That sounds pretty cheap. For some reason I was under the assumption they were quit a bit more.

On another note are the Akebono pads a low dust pad? How much are they? The MB pads are $76 a set.

I had those iRotors on my E500. They warped within 5K miles. I then tried another "quality" set of ebay rotors. They also warped right around the 7-10K mark. I then went back to OEM. I've had those same rotors for 40K miles without issue.
