It sucks to see it become so final. Hope you can find a Benz you like and would love to see you go mod crazy again

Now why all the sad faces? I know, I'm pretty sad too. But that doesn't mean the next chapter won't be just as fun. I've always been in a Benz and they have been ever so cool with the return that I have no choice but to remain a loyal customer. One thing I am having a hard time walking away from is the 55k. It may bring me back or make me bump it to a 65. I can't seem to find that feeling anywhere else.....
Up and at em!!
Headers first. I already have half the bolts on the first log (passenger side) off. The 4 bolts closest to the front of the car were hand loose! No locktite or anything on any of the threads. Is that normal?

I'm lucky that I have a good relationship with my dealership and MBUSA (finance) so I get a little leeway. They know I will get another (looking for a GL550 and a G500 now) so they work with me, especially knowing the car is off to auction anyways. I was planning to keep the car for another year (lease extend for a year) but it didn't happen.
Modding a leased car isn't for everyone. Heck, I wasn't even done with my mods so many would say that it was a waste. But, for me, I loved the process. I've met awesome people, learned plenty of lessons, and had some awesome times so for me it has been a blast and my outlet in life.

Only that I assume you've had your car in for service/warranty repair/etc and they didn't cancel your lease or go ape sh*t over any of the mods. The headers and other items I would have thought (what do I know) could have thrown up red flags if your stealership wasn't cool. Glad to hear they are!

It was a 39month lease that went to 45 (I think), so whatever that is. Haha! What do you mean "let" me? It lets you know how mild our mods really are if I can unbolt most of it myself. I'm definitely no mechanic but it is almost back to stock. Honestly, my toughest mods to "undo" are the OEM ones that are technically acceptable
.
