Got a call from my dad that day as he was heading to a customer meeting. He sent me a camera pic of the water and asked me what it was...
I called him and told him to stop...he said something about work blah blah blah important blah blah blah and kept driving... damnit.
i think it's hilarious.
apparently the engine ran for 15minutes in the water before the car died.

He appears to be the original owner of the video. It is likely that there is an ongoing legal investigation and this video is being used as evidence. The authorities likely asked him to take the video down wherever it is being hosted online.
I got the video before it was taken down.

If you host it privately, you are likely to get a legal disclaimer from Joe Garza instructing you to take it down and the possible repercussions of keeping it up.
The video is likely part of an ongoing investigation.

Fraud IMO. Plain and simple, when you add it all up. I hope the claim adjusters can see through the "story" about the "cell phone" and the "bird" when they see the video.

I'm just confused as to why he would just *poof* run it in to the lake...fraudulently.
I mean there doesn't seem to be any good reason to do that to me...I'm open to suggestions and speculation as to why he would do that.

Funny part is that without this video.....he probably would have gotten away with it and that would have meant higher premiums for us...I hope this idiot gets the book thrown at him.
EDIT - look at the video closely when he starts to leave the pavement....it's a slow, gradual movement to the right with NO BRAKE LIGHTS. Most people who accidentally drive off the road feel the car leaving the pavement, hit the brakes and usually turn back to rejoin the road. Not in this case....
