Considering the wing is in its full upright position, that tends to indicate that he was going very fast.
I can hear it now after watching that video...

Sadly - it really does look like insurance. The guy said he was distracted by low flying pelicans and dropping his cell phone.. But it really looks like he drove into the water.. No birds in sight.. And no one drives on that road but crab fishermen, definately no real estate unless he was looking to by swamp front property...
The owner is also a salvage car rebuilder / reseller so he would be well aware that he should turn the motor off in water as opposed to leaving it running until it died on its own. Think I may drive down to Lufkin and see if there's any other inventory else he needs to claim on.
I didn't see the wing up in the 2nd video, must have come up hitting the water.

1 of 15? Was it one of the several special editions? I am thinking all of the special edition high priced ones have unique paint/interior and that looks like a regular Veyron.

What are the odds that the crash occurred in perfect spot, devoid of walls, guardrails, posts, or deep water?
What are the odds that the guy who crashed the Bugatti is a salvage car rebuilder?
