ALAN! congrats on the run bud!

just food for thought: i believe the fastest stocked supercharged CTS-V (2009) non-nitrous, stock blower is running a 10.7 but at 127......10.8 at 133? not bad for a 5 or something year old car eh?

Those things are crazy fast.

When compared to some other cars my car definitely likes the back half better than the front. Do you know if this car had a torque converter? If it did than the difference in time and MPH would make sense to me.

There was actually a older CTS-V that blew his rear end on his burnout....poor soul.

the older CTS-V's blow their rear-ends if even stock and launched hard enough....they need to get the wheel-hop kit (i believe thats what they call it) to help prevent that from happening.

regarding the supercharged cts-v, it has more done that i thought. per cadillac forums

"heads, cam, headers, pulleys, tune from Fastlane... stock bottom end, stock modified airbox, stock mufflers, stock auto tranny, and stock rims with michelin pilot sport cup tires... Just getting started!"

"BONE STOCK bottom end! Not sure of the size of the crank pulley, Fastlane fabbed this one up about a year ago when I got the car.The car 60 ft was 1.64 on 325 sport cups with 18 psi. car makes around 11psi of boost."

Crosswind to me is left to right. Any wind that helps propel the car forward is what I consider "tailwind". Whether its at an angle or not. I'm not trying to take anything away from your car, just trying to find an explanation. I like to find out why things happen. Again, your run is very impressive! I'm tryin to figure out how these cars gain so much on the backhalf so I can do it too lol

The real question is do the numbers add up? Is your E55 with just bolt-ons that much faster than all the other E55 out there? The only way to really quiet the non-believers is to go to different track and produce similar numbers.

I ran into plenty of doubters when posting times for my GTR. I have a slightly modified car that ran what I thought was a killer time at a local track (11.1 @ 131mph). Well after several pages of abuse on NAGTROC with members telling me that no GTR or similar cars (without nitrous), can pick up 30+mph on the back-half....... I decided to take my car to a different track. Unfortunately, I was not able to reproduce the numbers but who is to say that I did not actually trap @ 131. I will let you draw your own conclusions from the slips:

I see your point and would be inclined to think that the trap velocity provided at Dragway 42 is way off especially if the 1/8 speed is 90.65 and 90.7 rather than 98.x(hard to read). Given the four runs at two tracks had nearly identical et's for all 5 fixed points an 8mph differential in trap speed is not possible.

Wow Alan, from the 63 crowd please accept the following: We can only wish

Thank you for the congrats.

I would believe the runs at Dragway 42 are the accurate ones. There would be no way he would pull off a 11.1 with a 1.88 60' time with a 123 mph trap. BTW....nice runs Rock.

Note: It does read 98 instead of 90.

Great job Allen. Too bad you can make it to Famoso this weekend. That M3 has a blower now with 500-600HP supposedly. He was saying he was going to own all. I was telling him he would have a hard time beating some 4 door AMG sedans. ( I meant you, LOL). I do plan on making a trip to Sac in the next few months after I get the meth kit installed.

I now believe you are correct after reviewing data on a very similar run with a SL55 done in identical DA. It seems as though I'm picking up MPH on the back but just what the time slips states. As mentioned the ET looks to be very accurate but MPH is definitely inflated . I guess I was just hoping it might be true...a bit of a optimistic but numbers don't lie. Thanks for the insight. As I mentioned before records don't mean anything to me but accurate data does.

very impressive time.

What mods do you have? Are you only making 447whp on a mustang dyno?

thanks

All I can do is

I read almost the whole thread, but missed one question.

Who built the engine (i.e. who from AMG signed the plate). Might be interesting to do a cross-reference of 1/4 times and engine builders.

Amazing run man. Track be damned, it's your skill in a fine car.

Are you coming on 12/5 with Marcin? You are never to be found. I have been to chicago 3x and could never meet the famous Marko. Did you see the White beast though, so clean it makes snow look dirty.

Now it's considered the fastest track in the US....I must have done well.

The East vs. West saga will continue...
LOL, sac always had bad prep. Did any of that change? Trust me guys sacramento is no secret spot his car must just be plain fast.
What cooling are you using? My car used to fall on its face back half due to getting way to hot.
Congratz on your run
