Ahh, I misread your original post and thought you now had HIDs in the fogsOriginally Posted by AgSilver
The fogs are standard halogen, the headlights are HID's, so no problem. If you install aftermarket HID's you have to reprogram the control unit so they do not flicker as the system sees them as a standard bulb failure.
. I have factory HIDs with curve illumination then I tried out the corner lighting with the figs but that was a bit annoying how they turn on with little steering input and combined with the fact that I ran HID fogs, I figured my ballasts would not last with this setting so I turned that function back off.Quote:

On my 55 both features are active from the factory, but I have halogen fogs.Originally Posted by nanayaw6

Here's a question...
My 2003 S500 used to auto-level the HID headlights when it was started... looked really cool when they would move up and down as they were turned on.
My 2005 S600 did not do this and neither does my 2006 S65... can this be turned on?

It should be there. Have it checked by the dealer.Originally Posted by Oxygen

What should be there? The car should auto-adjust the lights? Originally Posted by AgSilver

Like I said, only my 2003 S500 did this. My 2005 S600 and my 2006 S65 do not do this.
Also, why would I have the dealer check it if this is a STAR diag DIY thread?

Alright well I was NOT able to find a setting that auto-levels the lights, I even tried switching the coding in the CGW from ABC to AIRmatic with no change.
Apparently it's a function of AIRmatic and does not do the auto-adjustment with ABC.
This experiment did yield some benefits thought...
I found out that the automatic switchover to recirculated air when pollutants are detected was not turned on, so I turned it on:

I also changed the CGW exterior functions version from "USA, CANADA, JAPAN" to "REST OF WORLD" and gained some new functions, as well as got rid of annoyances.
-If sunroof is tilted, car now alerts you when turned off.
-If lights are on, car alerts you when you exit the vehicle.
-Car does not give you a KeylessGo or "Do Not Forget Key" message or chime
-No more side marker error messages when bulbs are not in (my orange markers are painted yellow)
-Switched the HVAC display to have both Day/Night mode as opposed to being always in night mode.

I searched for that on my S65 also, The headlights do not move on mine. I would be interested in what other fun tricks you found while playing with SDS.

OXYGEN - I do not want to hijack a thread, but just want to offer if you need any information or help at all on the M275 site, I would love to help you. I love this engine, and have quite a bit of technical experience with it.
Myself and my hacker tech buddy at our local dealership just did a performance tune on my CL65 (similar to a Renntech) and got 21% more hp and 18% more torque off the line. Of course removed the top end limit. Took it to 170MPH so far and ran out of room to keep climbing.
I love your idea on the site

Do those cars have bi-xenon headlights? Maybe that's the reason for it.Originally Posted by AgSilver

KeyLess Go Key reminder is off!! With some help from the guys over at jcrecordings. Go into the CGW and change KG to "Not Fitted". It will still work. you will not get the annoying reminder beeps. The IC will not turn red if you are a stop, while in gear, and press the KG button like it does now (telling you to put the car in Park). If your car is a wagon, the hatch will not open. thats the only ill effects. I know it seams pety but got to be very annoying.
