Back in a Kompressor!
Not what you think. Picked up my 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged last night. It is replacing my Jeep which is coming off lease next week.
Truck has the 510 hp motor from the Jaguar family and hauls for a 3 ton vehicle. Cross-shoppped the Cayenne Turbo and BMW X5-M and decided that this was the best combination of speed, room and foul-weather safety for me. (And it was easier on the wallet by a big chunk)
If any of you are in the market for one, I highly recommend it.
My fingers and toes are crossed on reliability, but the motor is supposed to be stout.

I recently bought an 05' C230 Kompressor. Are there any DIY that anyone knows of. I'm interested in hearing about all possibly mods for this model and would especially like to remove the silencer to hear the supercharger whine a bit louder. Anyone have any sugestions?

Hey, buddy. I still have my racing helmet and white shoe polish. I will probably miss e-town this season because of the break-in, but I will take a ride down to meet the guys in March. Should be cool.

that person saw a word Kompressor
w211 kompressor is almost the same as c230 one. hahaha. ok, back to topic. Congrats on your purchase. I would personally get X5, had a chance to try it this past week-end, really roomy and quick too. Different then Mercedes, but looks cool.

Hope it works out for ya, their awful reliability ratings in the past and the fact they're owned by Tata has kept me out of one. Maybe they are getting better?

Thanks for the good wishes, guys.
I have my fingers crossed on reliability. She sure is fun.
Putting aside price, I went with this over the X5M because I did not want a truck that beat me up all day. Having driven my cousin's X5 4.8is, I didn't want a harsh ride. And, I did not want to even think about swapping wheels and tires for the winter. Plus, this has a bit more trunk room than the X5.
They are all great trucks, but this one was the right one for me.
