New Personal Best + Photos of OEM 16" MT Drag Setup
Went to Atco on Tuesday and ran 11.54, 11.61, 11.61 and I was like WTF is going on why is the 60' still in high 1.7x range. Checked the tire pressure and it was at 23 psi (fail on using a gas station gauge to set race pressure). I dropped it down to 19.5 psi and next run went 11.44 with a 1.69 sixty and 10 minutes later went 11.45@123.4 with a 1.72 sixty. I should have thought to check the pressure earlier.
Wheels: 16x8 OEM Mercedes offset 36, with 5mm spacer -> total offset 31
Tires: 255/50/16 Mickey Thompson ET Street
No rub anywhere, even when the car is lowered. This setup worked out awesome. Grip off the line is amazing, next time hopefully I will crack 11.3 or maybe even high 11.2 if I can get the 60' down to a 1.6-1.62.

Congrats Mark!! Great times! I remember when I met you at etown last year, you said you were not modding the 55, I was like "right"... Wait till the Mod bug hits you.
Awesome tire set up.

Just a quick suggestion for you guy, have you ever try to use the airmatic to raise the front end when you launch the car? That'll definitely help with the short time.

definitely helps. we discussed this last track day at MIR. with the airmatic suspension, putting it in comfort and with a higher ride height, it allows the car to better squat on the launch... nice!!!!

Awseome times Mark! I'm glad the mt street raidals worked and you were able to get a new pb. Play around with the launch a little more and come back with a solid 11.2-11.3. Keep on trying what we talked about and I'm sure you'll get that 60' time lower. Onc again congrats and get back to the track!

Nice Prod, there are a few MB OEM wheels out there you just have to look for them. They may not be as light but they can still get the job done at a fraction of the cost.

thats a awesome time!!!!! good job getting ur times lower as u went. I have a question though do u think 19psi would be the right tire pressure for our stock 18in wheels on b/f goodwrench street drag radials. Or would the psi change for a larger rim size? Im also going to the track on sunday and i need to brake in to 11.5 or 11.6 or im gonna go nuts lol.

Great times. It's always great to beat your personal best, regardless of what that number is. You need to find me at MIR for a heads up run. Looks like you're a few ticks quicker and few mph faster than me, but maybe I can beat you on the tree.

i turn it off .....but with these tires it wouldn't matter since there was no spin on the 11.4 runs. even if you have it off and you see it kick in even a little bit .....that should tell you that the run is not going to be clean.
well they are 16s with alot of sidewall so when they are at 19psi they feel a bit sloppy.....nothing to serious. when they are inflated normally they drive fine.
