It's been in an accident. Are you willing to research with the seller what happened since specifics aren't disclosed ? If not, you're buying a pig in a poke.
You know, and I mean this in a constructive way, we are not your parents and why do you need your hand held when all the information is in front of you ?

It all depends on what you want, really. If you are content to buy a car with an unknown history, 42k miles and accident repairs, then go ahead.
Read the boards. Lots of guys that got great deals on higher mileage cars, and then they post on the board asking about how to fix this, that, and the other thing. In the end, you get what you pay for. I noticed some guys who sniffed around my car when it was for sale only to wind up buying something else because there were "other" cars that were able to be had at a lower price and because they had an option they were looking for that my car did not have. I have seen some of those guys on here with some pretty serious issues after they bought their cars - at a "good" price.
In the end, there are cars at all price points, you just need to decide what you are willing to pay. The lucky guy who owns my car got a great deal for a fantastic car. And he is still smiling.
IMO - I wouldn't pay anywhere close to what is being asked for that car.

This Ebay car is right down the street from me in Columbus. I watched it go through the auction for 33k. The car is spotless. I think he is making **** up about the rear bumper because I combed the car with a paint meter and it is perfect. The rear bumper is perfect. Here is what I think happend. He tapped a large vehicle in the rear and did a police report. If you look closly, there are 3 dents in on the very front of the hood around the star. They could probally be removed with paintless dent removal. Other then that the car is mint. I just was not willing to pay that much wholsale. The paint is very shinny and no swirls. It is a very nice car. PM me if you want me to go check it out again.

sorry I'm in Canada, so things are a bit different here...
furthermore, any insight into the Renntech badge??
finally, what is a fair offer for this car?

interesting the plot thickens, what is the best way to get to the bottom of the accident, if it was reported there should be full documentation somewhere?

There were no mods I could see. The pully looke stock, I looked because I saw the ad. The police report is impossible to find. You have to know which county it happend in, which agency handeled it and possibly which township. I am telling you, there is no paint work on the car, and if they did the bumper, it is a fantastic job. They paid @33,000 with auction fees so you are probally not gonna get it cheaper then that.
appreciate your help...
I'll talk to the seller..see what happens
