The pics of the two cars next to one another were great, and I agree, the new one looks very good next to the old. As far as the front end goes, there is no comparison (new). As for the rear, it is not perfect, but actually better than I'd had in my head when matched up against the old...

The fog light switch that you are referring to, are for the other 2010 E Class E350, 550 etc. There are two version, the sport model and the luxury model, they are equipped with either the hockey stick LED lights or the double fog lights. This is what Mercedes is referring to, when they mention that fog light switch in the owners manual.

This is mental! I see it as a what its supposed to be exactly, a C63 with more space and boy did it deliver with a sinister look. For those who didn't read the article yet, it posted the best 0-60 times over the CTS-V and XFR, and also HIGHEST SKIDPAD...yes like the C63, the new E63 is turning around what many perceived as MB's version of handling. All grip there, and performance to boot. In the comparo it did a 4.0 0-60 and 12.5 quarter mile. It also pulled a great .92g on the skidpad. Here is the article link and pdf file for performance figures. It's pretty cool that the E comes with carbon ceramics as well as an option.

That will probably be my next car when the lease on my W211 E63 runs out in a year. I'm hoping by then that they will offer the twin turbo V8 but I doubt it. The TTV8 will probably come out when the W212 goes through the mid-life cycle refresh.

Congrats, I love the car all around. Only thing is it needs a minimum of a 19'' rim and I would have gone with the AMG forged 19's if not an aftermarket wheel. Then again who wants to pay 10k for the AMG forged rim and tire upgrade.
Not sure why people don't like the tails, I'm getting so use to looking at the 212 that the old 211 is not as appealing in comparison.
