The second I saw the word juice was the second I decided not to click the link.
I don't know about everyone else, but putting a 100, 200, or whatever shot on a car to make it fast really does absolutely nothing for me.

Amazing car regardless.

That is a healthy running caddy. I wouldn't doubt that V running single digits. Funny, people love to hate nitrous. Thanks for sharing.
LS9.... As if there were ever any doubt. At least in my mind.

I guess a lot of us street car guys think you should run it how you run it on the street... generally speaking.

I think its because there is no blood, sweat, and tears. Nitrous is not car specific and anyone can do it. Not to mention it cant be used all the time. No doubt it make for one hell of a track time. However the car it just beat at the track might smoke the car that was was running nitrous around town.

Sure you can technically slap it on any car. But, you can do the same with headers, exhaust, tune, camshafts and headwork. People have a huge misconception with nitrous. There is a quite a bit of tuning you can do with it. They have single and dual stages, progressive. All kinds of interesting ways to apply it to your setup. Don't knock it till you tried it. (not directed at you, just saying)

Not being into aftermarket modification, it's funny reading the biases/prejudices directed at NOS.
I always presumed that there were different objectives in modding...better handling, better straight line speed/dragging, or combination of both.
If ones' objective is to optimize straight line speed, wouldn't anything that obtains that goal be fair game? And if it is technically "easier" to just slap on a NOS system, so what?
I'm sure there are details in nitrous modification that separates one mod from another.

Thanks for sharing. I am impressed by the CTS-V and look forward to seeing all of the various setups that will come out. The nitrous looks pretty cool to me. Kicking around in a 600 hp car and if you need an extra punch, 200 hp on tap. Kind of the best of both worlds with a relatively stock car 99% of the time and a monster at the press of a button.
I have had a couple of cars with nitrous but always preferred blowers because the power was there all of the time. With this set up you have both and I bet it will be appealing to a lot of people. I wonder what the total cost of mods were. Anyone care to guess?

No idea what the car has. So, this is just a guess. Kooks long tube headers are about 1000 shipped, pulley, cam, valve springs and retainers, tune, nitrous kit, colder spark plugs, with that kind of shot one would assume an MSD ignition, and dyno time. $4500??

Do people who "hate" on nitrous also "hate" on race gas? Some people (turbo motors, especially) run race gas at the track and crank up the boost and/or timing - doesn't necessarily mean they achieve the same performance (or would want to) on the street with pump gas.
I, for one, find those results out of a heavy, luxo sports sedan to be amazingly impressive. Thanks for sharing. EDIT: As many would attest - having a gazillion HP at the rear wheels is one thing, but piloting it to a great ET/trap is another...

In New York voice from the vid, "How does a stock mota hold up like dat?"
Heh, it won't.
Nice vids though!
Sure wish we could get even close to that on juice.

It's called cheater gas for a reason. Anyone willing to step up to run their E with a 200 shot? Not sure how much this E55 is pushing.

Not to start another controversy but something is very wrong with the E55 runs.
Anybody else notice anything about the video and the resulting times and traps for the two E55's

I also am in the "who gives a F" about bottle-assisted times group. A power adder like that just feels like cheating once you've spent time, blood/sweat/tears building up a race engine.

The hilarity that nitrous users dont live up to the uber high MB driver standard. We all know that AMG's set the bar in terms of street car drag racing performance. The CTS-V makes 600whp on boost alone very very impressive.
