I typically run Shell 93, but also run Sunoco 94. I don't notice a difference though.

BTW, The dirty fuel gets the detergent additives.

 

What kind of credible information do you seek? Peer reviewed papers? I was skeptical at first but I figured the guys at Click and Clack seem to know their stuff. Now I wonder if it wouldn't be bad idea to go a little out of my way to get gas at a Shell station. I currently get gas at a no brand name place.

 

No Shell's to speak of in my area, I usually go to BP unless I am in a pinch and need something quick... Marathon (old Citgo).

While on this topic does anyone do the fuel additive that MB stealerships offer? I keep getting it offered for free all the time, is it worth it?

I did not know what ERC was so I Googled it. Is ERC racing fuel what you mix? If so, what octane?
