C97 Blrushed Centers / Polished Lip
Although not an E63, HRE COMP C97 brushed centers and polished lip.
Depends on the look you're after. Black wheels (like vader55 and emoving) looks hot and aggressive...especially when lowered.
Brushed/polished wheels (while not agressive looking) gives the W211 a classy and refined look. As well, I wanted to keep the sleeper look and thoroughly enjoy the look on the other drivers face as they wonder WTF just happened and how they just got walked by a four-door sedan.

Like most say, it's all up to you on what your flavor is. I wanted something that would be classy, stylish, and always in style. With that said, I plan on having my track rims painted satin black for that mean aggressive look . It's all up to you brotha and just make sure you get the fitment right and no matter what you decide it will look good. Here are a couple of pictures of my E55 with 19" HRE Comp C20's with polished lips and brushed centers. Not the best pictures but the only ones I have.

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
All rims regardless of make will bend when subjected to potholes, rocks, etc. It is just a tough world out there.
IMHO I avoid black as you just cannot make out any detail in the wheel because it is.....dark. but it's your car, your $$$, get what you fancy.

Hi all, thanks for all your feedback. And all your wheels look great (I guess that's the problem)! Guess I'd like to keep it simple and look for 5-spoke designs. Can't go wrong with that. BTW, anyone heard of Japanese wheels like Klassen or Neez and their quality?

Neez are incredible wheels!! I had a set of 20" QD7s on my M5. I can not tell you how much I love those wheels. Unbelievably strong and light, plus they look amazing. Only problem, they are really damn expensive, and at the time there wasn't much of a dealer network. I don't believe the QD7 is available in MB fitment, but the new Club sports will fit. http://neezinternational.com/product11.html

GO WITH THE BLACK WHEELS IF U LIKE THEM. Dont listen to some people on this forum that are full of negativity . Sure alot of people have black rims on this forum but the odds of somebody by u having black wheels are slim to none . I got black M6 modulare's and tell u the truth since i got the car I have NEVER run into or seen another e63 or a e55 with black wheels. And this is in NYC metro area where there are a gazillion cars on the road daily .

In the end just do what you like the best and screw whatever anyone else thinks. This whole black on black ***** thing and silver subdue not standing out makes me laugh. I give props to both and wouldn't bash either one. Thinking that you have ***** just because you went with black rims....lol.
