SL55 190mm crank pulley VS E55

here is a video between SL55 & E55

upgrades are:

SL55:2006
- 190mm crank pulley package ( includes Waterpump, etc ) pulleis
- K&N filters
- ECU tuning

E55:2003 ( runing on the with this pulley since 2 years )
- 190mm crank pulley, etc
- LT headers
- Cam shaft
- Larger H/E
- ECU tuning ( dont think it is a good one ) lo0ol

not my car. none of them

the E55 was the strongest here, since 2 years no one could beat him @@

but the sl owner ( my friend )finally installed this large pulley.

it was just to beat that guy. nothing more. lol

but the IAT increases like hell when he hit it hard.

after reaching 220, u can feel the car is slower and not pulling hard.

i pass by him with my pulley @ about 260. although i have other mods that boost my power a bit.

but it is a sign for others. that it is safe to use the 190mm. because the E55 owner had it installed since 2 years and it was made here in UAE/ Dubai, the only problem with the E55 pulley that it is one piece ( doesnt has the rubber thing to obsorve the shocks ).

but the SL owner got his from germany and it looks like stock but larger. we measered it and it is from side to side 190.4mm

the same company makes also 205mm, but getting bigger injectors are a must and it is for drag racing as they said.

i will try to let him recored a test drive from 0 to 200 and recored the speedometer for u.

the SL from germany ( online )

and the E is a shop here localy ( his tuning is well known a **** one ) but some of the guys here like it becaise it is cheap.

although he only has one or two files and he just load them to any car.

the X6 M is killer from 0 - 160. but thats all.

it increase the boost of the supercharger and makes it spin faster ^_^ this is the main job.

to make more air goes into the engine. which leads into faster burning and more power.

Is it only one part or set of parts? are there different brands?

For the Brabus 05, will it be the same as AMG 05? if it makes some different, then diffidently i am thinking of one because this Audi RS6 scare me every time i see it next to our building .

if your car is K8 brabus, then why are you afraid ? !!!!!!

you will smoke him easy.

pulley is a part

but you should change atleast 3 pulleys with it.

if your car doeasnt has one

my opinion.. I would run 190mm with shorty headers or long tube headers..

but not with stock exhaust minifolds, cats and piping.

I agree on the Exhaust.. I think the number 190mm is being touted as a huge number. In reality, it is only about 23% larger than stock or 6% larger that the 180mm.. The main question is, what is the max or safe RPM range we can spin our S/C and S/C bearings? What size pulley will give us max effecient power and safe to operate our S/C at? Spin past MFG RPM capacity and Kabooom. Spin past the S/C flow capacity and you get a bunch of hot air!!

I know the crossfire guys have all this calculated for the 6 banger MB S/C but have not seen much on ours.. They even listed the specs from the Japanese MFG of our S/C..

That is just unreal. Can you guys imagine how tiny that water pump pulley must be. Bet the water pump is spinning at like 25,000rpms

I dunno man, even AMG's chief said that the supercharger can only flow so much, then she just can't push anymore for the amount of heat returned.

I know the whole world isn't 1/4 mile happy like we are in the US, but any 1/4 mile times on the 190 or 205mms over there?

I thought I was bad a$$ running a 185mm custom made, but I run it up at 4500ft elevation with DA's in the 6-7K range in the summer.

All the 190mm pulley`s I have seen come with a stepped water pump pulley (clear the large S/C pulley section) So WP, turns stock RPM..
