Does the old 3-5-7 trick work on 09' W211's?
The 09' models have the ability to play DVD's but only while parked. Is there a way to disable that feature? Will the 3-5-7 work?

will not work, you guys need to search, all the answers are here on the forum, for vim (video in motion) on your w211 you need someone with star dev mode to enable it or buy a $200 module from fleabay.

You can enable video in motion without SDS but it won't help anything if you have a US spec COMAND. Only the Euro COMAND can play DVD's even though the US COMAND will still have the option to enable video in motion.

this option u can change the command system and show ///AMG when u turn it on.
i used the other mode to make the TV works
entering engineering mode and then press * # < for 5 seconds
new 3 options will pop
choose Dr.dis ( driver distraction ) untick all the of them.

(<) is that the button next to the ok button or are you saying press the back button. I am only asking because her command unit is different than my Euro Command

which is
1: go to audio screen.
2: press mute & phone (hang off/Red ) & service
now you will enter to engineering menu
in the new menu

guys, anything newer than 2005 or with the latest command firmware update can only have VIM activated via STAR in developer mode, the AMG logo however can be activated in the newer models.

When you said this I said oh well and was about to move on then someone said that it would work so I kept hope alive but now that I read your last post I just said oh well she will have to get a EuroCommand or see if I can get it turned off via star!
