The segment of the M3 nuts, 3xx, Nismo and so on is baffling to me. First, you guys talk like $30-40K is not a big deal but that's a fair amount of money after tax. How do they come up with it and then the dough for mods?
It's also got a different feel to it than the Ford vs. Chevy wars of the past. The only comparison I can come up with. My first high HP car was a 396/375HP Chevelle but I wasn't very cocky about it because I knew just around the corner there was somebody that could kick my a$$. These guys act like an M3 is the coolest thing ever. It's just not. There is no coolest car ever IMO. You just drive and enjoy what you like.
At any rate, the culture seems pretty dead end.

Gondon, sorry to burst your bubble, but your school and national universities aren't on the same rating/ranking system.
USNews breaks them down by categories. National Universities and Universities that only offer up to a masters are on different levels. Universities that only offer masters degrees may be good, but they're on a much more regional level (that's why they break down the Universities that only offer masters degrees on a regional level within that category as well).

I found the ranking system and Mason is rated 120th.

lol, dude! the link that you gave was what HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELORS rank colleges. those people don't know anything and it's just a random survey.
with regard to Mason, it's a third tier and therefore they (USNews) don't rank schools when they get into that third tier.

That's the right side of the Survey of a ranking of 1-5 is the HS Counselor.
(They rated the universities on a scale of 1 to 5 (with 5 being the top score)
The rank on the left is the actual ranking.
Or I could be mistaken.

4146 Schools in the USA meaning 5% would leave 207 schools to not correlate with this norm.
Yes, that rating above you showed me seems accurate.
Enough about schools back on topic

I have to say, there is a 335i(mildly modded) in our garage and I am kind of embarrassed to be even remotely have the slightest bit in common with that guy. All because of the brand of car. In fact, it makes me want to get rid of the 2 Mercs in the garage too since he is considering an E55. Wonder how my wife would like driving a (gasp) 612? Of course, he would probably buy a 308 then, knowing my luck.
