Some (many) pictures from 1-mile race this past weekend (1.3.10)

There was a standing mile race this weekend here in Miami, one of several that I've been to in the last couple months. There are always some amazing rides, so I bring the camera and take tons of pics. Here are a few; hope you enjoy.

The Galloway 'vette is very interesting looking.

Also, just wondering how fast wast the RSX? Those wheels probable cost more than the car.

I'm shooting with a Sony A700 dSLR; it's nothing fancy.

The vette is a "Callaway," and i'd never seen one in person before.

I don't think the RSX ran, it was just there for show, exhibiting the wheels.

Awesome pics brother!..The owner of the yellow ZR1 deserves to be punched in the face for that wing and those winglets.

Those wheels were probably wrapped. They look great- on another note, RSX's when FI are EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE. I had one running a small turbo at 14psi, minor internals, clutch, boost, injectors (the basics). 460 fwhp, it destroyed my heads/cam z06 on the highway up until about 100. No contest.

The wing may not be to your liking but it appears fully funtional and those little "winglets" are called wickers and they too are fully funtional and assist heavily in high speed stability

Oh I know what a K20 motor is capable of. I used to have a couple of them. My favorite one was a fully built K20 in a EG Civic Hatch. With 12 psi, it made 450whp and ran 11.5 @ 125mph in the 1/4 mile (all this was on pum gas). Fun time back then .

Great pics! Was there something wrong with the hood latch on the CL? Looks like it's about to fly open.
