I guess a few people called ASP for the acessory pulley that goes behind the S/C idler pulleytoo..Part of the pulley set from MB for 400.00.. Well, I took mine off and donated it for 1/2 day to be drawn up.. So, they are going to be machining a limited run of those to take care of the few people that called in for them.. ASP said this would be machined aluminum with decorative slots and ZZ rated high speed bearings in them..

My Accessory pulley was not wobbling but after spinning it by hand, could tell the bearings will not last a much longer.. I guess I will be in line for one too.. I like the custom look of machined aftermarket pulley`s anyway.. Lighter pulley`s also make it easier for the engine accelerate or get up to RPM quicker..

What's up! So my belt ripped off the other day and I had to take the car to Motorwerks. My wholesale cost for the idler pulley was $303.00 and tensioner pulley was $192.50. That's my dealer pricing. without the discount I think it was $404 and $325? Any ways. I bought both pulleys from asp. It's a MUCH better deal and we need to thank Brooke for it! THANKS BROOKE!

Do you just call and ask for it? Is there a set of part numbers?

Just call and talk to Lee or Candice. Tell them you know Brooke and want the two pulleys or just one.

Anytime bro.. Actually there are 3 pulley`s that seem to wear.. The S/C idler pulley and the Accesory idler pulley that connects to it.. Then there is the S/C tensioner pulley.. I suggest changing all 3 out, instead of chasing pulley problems each time one fails.. If you have an aftermarket pulley on, you already are spinning the idlers /tensioner pulley 15-20% faster..

Hello Exotic,

Do you know if ASP is 'packaging' those three (two idlers and a tensioner) pulleys for us?

I just ordered the double pulley. They said they would have them ready to ship by the end of the week. They were already made and out being plated.

Thanks Brooke for setting this thing up with ASP. I ordered my idler pulley even though mine isn't broke yet.

FYI regarding the tensioner pulley, when I spoke to Lee he mentioned that the tensioner pulley to be offered by ASP is only the pulley and not the entire assembly that you would normally get from the stealership. My independent tech said that I could go the ASP route to see if it fixes a knocking sound from my tensioner but he felt that my issue might not be the pulley, but the tensioner itself (based on the sound it makes). In this case, I opted to just get another tensioner pulley assembly from the stealer. If I weren't having the knocking sound, I'd definitely go with the ASP unit since my last tensioner assembly from MB only lasted 10,000 miles.

My belts are up for replacement soon, might as well do the pulley at the same time. Thanks for the hookup!

Just a heads up but ASP is all out of the idler pulley. Just called them today and they said they were out.

I called today to order the acc pulley behind the idler pulley. I will try to find out if there is going to be another run of them.

BTW guys be very careful about the acc pulley behind the idler pulley, I just broken off some of the plastic from the pulley trying to get the unit disassembled.

Hang on to it. Some forum member will need it because they may run into the same problem as me

This is what I did to my acc pulley (6 rib)

Ouch-mine isn't as bad, but apparently it is a common issue...

i'm still interested if they do another run. I'll consider prepaying if that wets their pallet.
