As long as the ribs are not broken you can still use that pulley.

Very silly question as I'm installing the 180mm ASP Underdrive pulley next week, but what does an updgraded Idler pulley for for us? Does it just fail less often or his there a HP/Tq advantage here?

Thanks.

it is a better qaulity product. some of the 3 pulleys are lighter than stock, which reduces rotational mass.

Plus, considering the fact that you can order all three pulleys for only $375 when MB wants over $1000.... Why not get them? Plus they look cool.

looking to replace all of the pulleys when I do my belts (serpentine, and supercharger).

So far I've picked up the following from the dealership:

Serpentine belt tensioner - 1122000970
supercharger belt tensioner - 1132000170
idler pulley - 1132020419

I think I'm going to return the idler pulley, and purchase both idler pulleys from ASP.

MY QUESTION:

Does anyone know what the correct torque specs are for each part?

torque spec of each idler pulley?
torque spec s/c belt tensioner bolts?
torque specs of serpentine belt tensioner bolts?

Thanks a lot for these write ups. They are very helpful.

Any idea if ASP has a website? Just the idler pulley A113 202 04 19 is $680 here in South Africa!! Maybe I can order all 3 from them and get it shipped to Cape Town SA. I have a 2006 G55 AMG which use the same part numbers.

Dealer says I need new Supercharger tensioner pulley for 2005 e55 (95,000 miles). Any comments on going with ASP pulley only vs. complete tensioner assembly? Is it possible assembly itself is bad? Possibly a spindle?

Are these still available? Esp light came on today, lifted the hood and found my idler pulley laying on the bottom pan of the engine bay along with ball bearings and the s/c belt.....need to fix it asap.
