I just hope more class and less taunting is displayed by the winner after the next E55/E63/CTS-V meet even if the CTS-V has 200 more bhp.
ya i totally agree they're sick i like them more and more .. i been on the hunt for white on white for that last few weeks .. i figure its easy to mod and will break the 10's alot easier than my e55 .. tired of getting so close and not making it lol .. like alan tells me get different tires .. but i wanted to do it with my 265's on the front and 285's on back

But then again with that 700hp he was only running 11.8 with a 1.85 60'
http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/2059837-post34.html

so 1 bus length is accounted for, but not sure where the second and third bus lengths came from.

he does say that it was in 3200+ DA. so there is your second bus length. it's simple that if he can do 11.8 in terrbile DA, he can do 11.3-11.4 in if not faster at 0 DA or negative DA like it is now. from talking to a guy that has the white one that comes to atco - he says the car does heat soak a lot (just like ours), and when you turn the boost up it will heat soak even more in the summer (just like ours).

he also mentioned that oldgixxer was running 12.4s the same day, and we know that his E63 has been in the 11s.

also his setup does dyno 560-580whp range and that is pretty close to 650-700bhp depending on what drive train loss percentage is used to do the ricer math

stock E55 would dyno 410-420 on a dynojet.....i think we can all agree on that. CTS-Vs with his setup dyno 570+ on dynojets.

150whp gap = buses from a roll. period.

No it was in +1350' DA, but who's counting.

In +1707' DA I ran against a GXP, and I did 12.0x@122.98mph versus his 13.4x@109.19mph, my 29mph back eighth versus his 26mph, and it was not even three bus lengths for me at the end of the strip. HP claims and hypothetical racing aside, I can't imagine a 11.8s car being 3+ bus lengths ahead of a 12.4s car.

I do not know if this is true, but I have heard this statement numerous times on this forum

street racing and track racing are different

We started at 45 mph up until around 80-90 he was still by my side and before I can hit 140 I was 3 bus lengths behind. From 80-90 to 130-140 I fell behind 3 bus lenghts. What kind of power does he need to have done that?

I dynoed 411whp / 456 wtq on a dynojet. If the V is at 570whp then 160whp over me should make a significant difference.

i also do not like telling locals what i have down to every mod, just because it takes the fun out of drag racing. there are some people that think my car runs 10s, there are rumors that i have spray.......it's fun.

I can't use those old llac' jokes anymore... the new cts/cts coupe are pretty much on par with most german cars today.

And as for speed... toss 5k into a cts-v and see that you destroy 99% of the german/jap cars out there.

Your probably right about the performance but I am still hesitant about a 60k Cadillac. Next time just look how thin the doors are on the Ctsv. There something to be said about the materials the Germans use.

Oh I agree they are a touch behind in materials and refinement... but that is about it now a days.

On the 2009+ CTS-V Cadillac now uses the same 3rd party manufacturer who makes the MB door panels. Same materials, same manufacturer.

The dash is the weakpoint on them though, my knee hates the hard plastic console.

Supra's are nuts. I was going to buy one before the E55 but could not justify spending 35-40k on a car that was over 12 years old. I still love them though.
