E55 AMG vs MODDED 09 CTS-V

You guys are hilarious with all the nitrous comments and how it's impossible to do that. If I wasn't flooring it for the first 2 seconds, then I floored it, wouldn't that make sense? Haha love it.
Again, there is no nitrous on my Caddy. I would much rather invest in camshaft, headers, and turn up the boost a bit to make another 100rwhp. I had nitrous on my CLK500 and on my Z06. If I used, say a 100 shot in this race, the tires would spin up to 100mph, it would be pointless. If I sprayed above 100, then I would have just disappeared into the horizon, trust me. On my C6 Z06 with the 12" wide rear wheels (I think), I was spinning at anything under 90mph when I would spray. On this car it would be much worse.
I don't like disclosing mods. Many guys feel the same exact way. Actually, most guys who race don't say what they have done. Why would they?
I wasn't asked if I was modded or anything. Nobody really spoke much about my car so I didn't need to chime in. I didn't lie. I was just told "you're gonna lose" so I went along with it, lol. About the 700hp remarks on M5board, I was rounding off. I am maybe 650 crank hp or so, but maybe closer to 700. I haven't gotten on the dyno yet so I won't know until then. My point being on the M5boards was that it is a smooth daily driver that seems like it's completely stock, yet it has a ton of hp.
Again, I'm no liar and no cheat. I just wasn't asked and if I'm not asked, why would I tell? Especially when everyone was so confident about their victories. All in all, it was a fun night and I still didn't think I would have beaten the C63 MHP like I did.

08 E 6point3-sold- 11 caddy cts-v-sold, 2012 E63 Palladium Silver
cts-v
I just test drove a stock cts-v over the weekend and I am confirmed this will be my next car. The V is so much faster than my 63 that it really doesn't compare. Alot of these guys with minor mods are putting down over 540 hp to the wheels. A pulley, exhaust, filter and tune and these things fly.
I had trouble starting in 1st due to the craxy amount of torq
Hate to say it but a e55 is no match for this car and not even close to my 63
Gm made a great car- thought I would never go back to a American car but it seems this is the best bang for the buck right now

i can't speak for your 63 but i'm pretty sure my e55 will do just fine against any modded cts-v in a straight line. i like the caddy but it really compares more directly to the c class mb's since it's smaller than my midsize e class.

I raced a CTS-V at the track and it wasn't even close! I think his best time was 12.7@115.

hey hey hey, the 1st race from 45-160 i won. from 65-160 you put 2 cars on me. Not bad for a N/A 6.2 vs 6.2 s/c + bottle service lol.

And again...if I DID have nitrous oxide, I wouldn't have even connected it to run you guys. But I don't. Saving it for my last mod, if I even choose to use it.

Mikey, yeah your car is a complete beast. I do believe that a similiarly modded CTS-V vs a similiarly modded E55 will result in the V winning, but not by a large margin at all. The V is still relatively new and new mods keep coming out and people will eventually start pushing the limits. So far the fastest one out is Kenny (BLACKMAX) with the 10.3 @ 136. He's got cams, headers, intake, pulley, exhaust, and I think a 100 shot. From what I remember, off the bottle he ran 10.8. Automatic tranny, daily driver. I'm sure as time passes more and more V's will be in the 10's. Maybe mine, if I dedicate the time and moola.

Shouldn't be 4 hours int THAT car.
You guys should seriously consider caravaning down. It's not many times that you'll be able to run at a track like MIR in February, as a rental.
The cold weather, ridiculous track prep and the fact that you can run literally 100 times if you want, is mouth watering to most. Wouldn't you guys really like to know what your car can do against some of the fastest MBs in the country, on an even playing field?
Plus you get to meet me. And that, my friends, is worth the price of admission.

I took my "V" to the track a week after buying it and went 11.7 @122 (pulley, cold air, tune) on the stock Michelins:

..... and 11.5 a week later when I figured how to launch it better (no cameraman that day for my camcorder):

A local bone stock "V" I know has touched 11's and guys with simple mods like mine (including Italian Stallion's) are capable of mid 11's, lower 11's with a decent tire out back at a good track.
Just sayin.

I would love to put my e55 vs hammer down e55 lololl. Stock vs stock
All tracks r different and obviously from my run with oldgixxer my car def run hard! My track times were not so good since it was my first time and I was trying different things out.

All the more reason to come. There is absolutely no better place to learn that at one of these rentals.

Oldgixxer is tryin to get me out to the rental. It's just a lot of driving and I usually am busy with business 7 days a week so its tough...I would LOVE to come though. I know a lot of guys on these forums and they're standup friends. Just to chill with some of them and talk cars is worth it...I'll try but I doubt I can go.

Nothing like the chance to run at MIR in February.
We were heading out from Chicago to a Cobra Shootout at MIR in October, but weather cancelled the event.
Wish I was closer, I'd love to run my "V" at MIR this time of year. Your guys are lucky. We've got single digit weather out here right now.
