Bulbs/LED's, can someone....

give me a quick schooling on what is the preferred setup here? Citi's have already been done, need LED for license plate, and shouldn't I replace HL and FL too? And who is a reputable seller? 07 E63....thanks in advance.

Too me the preferred setup are obviously 6000k HID bulbs which are super white and have a aqua blue hue. The city or position lights I recommend matching 6000k 8-smd led bulbs which are error free with built in resistors. Finally, I recommend (6000k) 68-smd led 9006/hb4 fog lights; resistors are required for them to work. All three sets of lights are 100% identical color, super bright, and the car will look brilliant! The license plate lights I bought from ijdmtoy.com but I think sponsors on this forum have them for like $40 at jbspeed.com which is cheap! I am going to post pics of my set-up here in the next few days.

I bought all my bulbs from ijdmtoy.com except the 68-smd led bulbs which I got off eBay simply because they were $20 cheaper, but shipping time was 3 weeks and not really worth it.

OK. I am finally getting ready to change out my lights, as one of my lights (passenger [right] side light closest to grill [parking light is what is indicated by error message on dash] but I think they are referred to here as "City Lights???") is giving me intermittent problems (I get an error message every other start it seems, but the light usually turns on by the end of my trip.. not sure if it is the bulb or the connection)...

I have a few questions:

1) The city lights (6000k) in the link, are these the Xenon White or Ultra Blue? I want to go with the Ultra Blue so I want to make sure everything will be uniform. If I go with the Ultra Blue, what Low beam bulbs will I need to match? Also, is this still the correct link for the city lights?

2) The links for the fog lights and hid low beam bulbs are dead. As is the link for the Led license plat lights with built in resistors. Can someone supply the correct links?

3) How easy is the install? I took a quick peek and see screws but not sure how easy the process actually is... Are there any DIY articles (I didn't see anything in the DIY section).

I got everything I needed from http://store.ijdmtoy.com/default.asp

Just search the site everything you need is there. I used their error free licence plate light
Used these for my city lights lights in a 5000K which is white and matches my xenon 6000k low beams nicley. https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...leds-w211.html

I saw the DIY for the retrofit of the Xenon lights. But, if we are just changing the bulbs, do we still need to remove the entire light assembly?

No, u just remove the cap on the back of the head lamp and remove the xenon bulb and replace it with the new one.

What about the "city lights?" Are they two separate bulbs? I have an 06 if it matters...

The city bulbs are two separate bulbs. They come in pairs when you buy them.

So, does one need to remove any of the lamp assemblies themselves when changing the bulbs? It doesn't sound like it for the low beams. Nor the fog lights (I found a thread about the install for these). What about the city lights? I apologize (and it's obvious), I haven't spent much time actually looking at the layout of the lights. I am out of town on a business trip and won't be back for a few weeks. Just wanted some info before I order everything and then find out it is much more than I expected...

Also, is it possible to change out the high beams?

Which are better quality, the lights from ijdmtoy or AZN Optics?

Haters crazy
the d2s bulbs are a ***** to install, make sure you dont break the bulb holding clip or take it out of place, because getting it back in will be a PITA
