DRAG STRIP: Three runs, best time was 11.87.
So Shardul and Brooke went out last night to run at the local strip. At the line, Shardul realized his front tire was FLAT and he was screwed. I came to the rescue and decided to run my car. My best time was 11.87. A bit low but I had traction issues. You can hear the tires screeching off the line. The best part is listening to her WHINE!

Great job and thanks for sharing. What kind of 60' times were you getting?
Did Brooke end up running at all that night? I'm curious to see how the 185 performed and if he gained anything out of it.

I don't think he got any runs. His car went into limp mode every time he took off. :/
My 60' was about 1.856? I have the strips in the car. I could have done better.

What kind of tires were you using? You have a lot left on the table with that 60' time. If I'm not mistaken you are also running the 185 pulley and if you are did you feel or see any gains? BTW...where did you guys run?

We ran at the Houston Speedway in Baytown. Ever since i changed from the 172 to 185 I can tell a big difference. I think with a proper tune and better tires I can get to 11.5. im going to dyno to car tommorow at the same place I dynoed before. So my numbers will reflect to new pull with tune.

Im running Dunlups. They are nearly bald! haha. I have the 185 but the tune in my car is Brookes old 178mm tune. So it is under tuned. Limp mode: Cl55 would stall in dyno mode and the car wouldnt accelerate.

what other mods does this car have. 11.87@117 with a half decent 60' is quiet a bit slower then I would have expected. i went 11.71 on 19s with a worse 60' and less mods. something isnt right and it's not the launch, trap speeds are low.

When you ran your better time with less mods what was the DA. If you ran in much lower DA than Hadilaw it might make sense.
All though, I do agree the traps are low for his mods but I have no idea what kind of conditions he was running in.

Answer to some questions. Tune in my car is now for the 185 pulley but designed for brookes car. Ran the same dyno as today, 503hp/603trq! My car was running rich so there is pleanty of room to gain. There are a lot of factors that go into play with the drag time but I can't explain it all. Blad tires, uneven front tires with bubbles? Too many factors. Hopefully next time it will be better.

Your only power adders are the big pulley and a tune that's not even for your car and you're looking at mid 11's with a proper drag setup. I'd say that is awesome! Headers should only help that much more and TB etc....
I know it's early on but I'd say the 185 is showing itself to be very effective am I right? Limp home mode isn't encouraging but who knows what that is.

I don't mean an 11.8 is showing the results but as everyone is saying with slicks he could hit an 11.5 or better. That's the first run with a 185 pulley and its shown that potential right off the bat. Years of smaller pulleys have resulted in a best of 11.4 from a pulley/tune only if I remember correctly. your average pulley only maybe gets in the 11's WITH slicks. That's all im sayin
EDIT. Just looked at it again and he was running in negative DA, the exact numbers depends on the time, but I'm not so sure anymore. What the hell do I know anyway lol
