Drivers Ed. in the E55
We have a special car -- like everyone on this forum already knows - our E55 is such a nice car.
I would like to add -- that I have been teaching my gf how to drive, using my E55. She is a foreigner and this is her 1st time driving a car. She is having problems learning "overwhelmed by the multitasking" .... If anything the car is making things easier for her -- parking - passing - braking.
Lets see those other 11 second cars maintain this luxury and tameness.

Yeah my wife hates my car (she has an 06 Infinity QX56 (SUV)) which is completely different of course. She says the E55 rides to harsh, the seats pinch, sits too low, etc.
But statiscally I'd say most performance car owners, especially AMG are predominantly men (not being sexist here - I actually adore women) so this is one of those, "Agree to disagree" things.

+1! I did let my now ex drive the car once with her friends cause her car was in the shop and she came back tellin me how a lot of guys would try to hit on her and her friends in the car while cruisin down the street.

I'd have a hard time lettin my gf drive the car stock, let alone how it is now...

I've let myex drive my 500 a couple of times...she never wanted to drive the 55, asked her but she didn't want to cause of how she would feel if something happened...so we dropped the top and I drove as always lol!

Most girls drive autos so if ur girl or a girl is a good driver i dont see the big deal in the "e55" most wont even want to punch it so they can drive it like a normal car.
I let my 20 year old daughter drive the E last week, and you would have thought she was getting a chance to be a space shuttle commander, by her reaction. I don't think there will be a second time, not that she didn't do well, I just don't like other people to drive my car.

Being a passenger always gives me a new found respect for the car (a scary new found respect). What I didn't expect was that translates to others as well: my brother once drove my car with my wife and his wife in it. He said there were audible screams at one point. Then I let one of our friends drive it while we were both in the car. Afterwards, we went home and he immediately apologized to his an my wife. He told me he never knew how scary it was being a passenger when somebody punches it (even when you know it's coming).
As far as the wife: she drives it on occasion; even has kill stories (an M3 and a Mustang GT); but I have never heard so much excitement in her voice than when she called me up the other day to tell me she was taking the new car for a "joy ride". It's a Camry HYBRID

The ESP on these cars are so amazing to me that I trust anybody with a brain to drive my car. If they have a "watch this" attitude then no go but otherwise I don't have a problem with it. Easy as crap to drive.
Contrast that with a Z06 and it's an accident waiting to happen. Even with the stability control it just wants to jump all over the place. Chevy needs to step it up in that department. That said it's an awesome car.

Funny, my wife hates my car because see thinks it is too slow, too soft, too heavy, and too comfortable. She knows how to drive too.
My wife is born/raised in Germany, so she loves the beast. She's now in the 55 and I picked up a 63. Knew she loved it when a few years ago I had a few to many and ended up in the passenger seat late night looking over at the speedo at 120!!!
