Try to scuff it up if you can. It'll help the paint stay longer and not chip as easily. Taking the grill off and spraying it is so easy that you can do it once every six months with no worries. NONE of the aftermarket ones are worth a crap.

I really want to get my grill blacked out as well. I'm going to purchase a new chrome grill and paint it black and keep the chrome 1 as a spare just incase I dont like it blacked out. I just happened to bump into a guy with a M6 blacked out and asked him, he owns a shop and says he can do what i need to be done so I will see wat im going to do
