Lowered with links and new wheels fitted :)

Following on from an earlier thread, this morning I had my car lowered using links and my new wheels fitted. 1.5 hours and went very smoothly. The mechanic was very pleased with how easy it was to fit the links and to adjust. We have gone for a conservative setting to begin wwith and will tweak in the next week. Here are some pictures of the Before, During and after for those that are interested:

On the highest airmatic settings before starting:

There are 2 links at the front and one at the rear: here is one of the fronts fitted in place of the MB link (link is on the left)

Just put on the ground with new wheel fitted

and a bit of trial and error

with the adjustment

and this is where we left it for now - this is on Sport II - and I will get tweaked next Monday for level etc.

Thanks to lowermyairride for the links and to my wheel and tyre supplier. I am very pleased with the result although am aware its not to everyone's taste. Lowering is rarely done in the UK and so some purists declare their distaste

That looks great. I am going to go for a bit of a raked look with the front being as low if not lower then the rear. Looks like you did the same? Hard to tell.
