HANKOOK TIRES FIRST IMPRESSION
Put a pair of the Hankook Ventus V12's on the back of the 55 about 300 miles ago and so far I feel like I made a good decision to give them a try. At $277.00 for the pair delivered from the Tire Rack, it was just too much of a temptation, especially since they placed 2nd in Car and Drivers tire test and PS2's now cost $330.00 EACH.
First thing you notice is that the Hankooks have a remarkable resemblence to the PS2's in tread pattern and appearance. At first glance, they look identical to the PS2's on the front of my car.
Driving impressions so far? I can't tell the difference between the Hankook's and the Michelin's. They are absolutely silent and smooth as can be. Dry traction appears to be as good as the Michelin's but they are still new so we'll see how they hold up.
Also, I put my durometer on the Hankook's and they are just a little harder than the PS2's so maybe I'll get a few more miles out of them.
If the performance holds up over the life of the tire I won't be buying any more Michelin's.

I had Bridgestone Potenza RE050 Pole Positions....but decided to give the Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 a shot. So far in a couple of hundred miles (knock on wood) the tires seem as good as the Bridgestones.

can you guys nail first gear without lighting up the tires?
Iv gone threw so many tires,Im at the point now that I just buy drag radials since they last almost as long on the street and I can put down the power.
I will never buy conti sport 2s again in my life, total waste of money!!! but if these v12s hook up I might give them a shot next.

for the money and performance.. can't beat these tires right now.
I'm trying to get Falken at a discount price.. but if that deal does not hold up.. I'm ordering 19"s from Tirerack.

Just did 19's for my CL55 mounted on Stock AMG wheels and the total cost for 4 was just under $800 installed with tax at my local tire dealer here in San Clemente.
I really like them so far and have less than 1000 miles to date but they are very sticky and quiet and so far better then the 3 year old PS2's that these replaced.

E55, Supercharged Z4 (sold)
I got Hankook V12's all the way around. Very quiet and comfortable. I really like that. Can't get power down for squat and I'm stock and went one size bigger, 275/35 and 255/40. That's any tire though like guys have said. I'm hoping 295's will help once I get wider wheels.
Very nice tires so far though. Got a few hundred miles on them. Fits the E55 well

this is nice. I was just out looking for tires and I really thought I would try a set of the Hankook evo V12s. I am glad other spoke up about having them and how they ride. I thought I would bite the bullet and try them for eveyone else. I will post my thoughts as well in 1-2 weeks. 245 / 275 18 combo....

ordered my tires today..
245/35/19 x2
275/30/19 x2
$700 plus shipping.. $750
Probably looking at another $50 to mount and balance.
$800 out the door.
18"s are not much cheaper.. than 19" for Hankook.. but compared to the Dunlop DZ101 I currently have on my stock or the Falke 452.. its a much better tire.
