2003 E55 AMG
i raced an ISF from a stop here on Nimitz a few days ago...it wasn't even close! we ran from a few lights and the lex was checkin out my recently cleaned exhaust outlets. Maybe it was the tune but DAYUM thats a pretty good tune if thats all he had!

What are you talking about? I just killed a white IS-F last week w/ my stock E55.

I'm not too sure but I believe reading that the E55 is a bit faster than the E63 as well.

Stock e55 will beat a is-f. The 20'z + is-f tune + short race + wheel spin on e63 = barely a win for the is-f. Nice lil car but not to be comparened with w211 AMG engines. Proper running AMG will take that is-f.

LMAO @ the " stock E55 woulda got killed" comment

is-f is a n/a engine, how much does a flash actually do for that??? If the OP was driving his car properly then its obvious that the IS-f had more parts!

As we must all agree upon anything can happen on the streets with two closely matched cars. Its not like at the track where you are perfectly matched in opposite lanes with a tree telling you when to mash it... The IS-F is no slouch. If he was on it a second before you or vice-a-versa it would take a little bit to catch back up. Lower speed street races always allow the underdog to possibly gain an advantage; like I said with closely matched cars.

I know my IS-F pretty well, dont drive it much but driven well its a pretty fast car. The 8 speeds can get you lost down low so auto would be my choice and let the computer shift.

Oh btw I know the street they were on very well- oh wait that was me you raced

just kidding- what color was the IS-F?

I agree with this, I've killed a bunch of E55's from 0 upto about 100
All 63's I've raced have started gaining (considerably) after about 80mph from stop

I dunno how the AMGs were driven, but this is IS-F in Sport mode and paddles, shifting at beep, no let off on throttle.

The IS-F engine is already pretty topped out, however there is rumor the airbox is a restriction because it's designed to be quiet at low revs. Other than that the engine is supposed to be pretty much at the 400hp limit.

Interesting, I killed, and I mean killed an IS-F just last week from 60-???. Of course my car is mod'd. Did it twice. Stock, can't say. Can say stock I destroyed 2 IS350s from 0 up which are known to be quicker than an IS-F from the dig until the IS-F builds up steam and passes around 50 or so. We all of you are talking W211 E55, not the W210 E55, right?

LOL. I don't know how people drive their E55's but they must be doing something wrong. Anyone should be able to take the IS-F w/ a stock E55. Maybe it's just me but I still don't see it happening the other way around; atleast from prior experience.

Interesting, a C55 had the same problem with the AMG slip-cover sliding off up the gas pedal causing him to accelerate uncontrollably into a curb:

I thought these pedal covers are screwed into the throttle pedal?

A proper E55/63 should beat an IS-F at any speed. I took an IS-F in my stock W211 E55 on two occasions pretty easily. I think he just hit the gas sooner than u did - even 1 second later makes a difference. IS-F 1/4th mile numbers tell the story here. W211 AMGs are faster. period.

I had normal CA plates. What's the fastest you've gone up that section of the road? Those slow curves get hairy for the W211 at the speeds I was going so I let off just before the third gear change while he kept going.

You are talking about Weir Canyon in Mexico, Baja California?- if so then up that hill I have gone circa 130-140mph. From a dig at the final light before the dead end allows me to hit about 100 or so. This is in all 3 cars sans the IS-F.

Ill tell you this, be careful when not in the lead up that hill- the rock chips from the Ricky Bobby driver in front of you can be brutal. In my CL65 before it was modded- I took the 2nd place behind a stage 3 996TT and he kicked up some nasty stuff.

I thought I was pretty clear about the country in my original post

Anyways, I didn't know you could go that fast on these beat up Mexican roads. And you're right, I was showered with rock chips from these poorly made roads since I was not in the lead.

I got to check out your stable some time, I'll bring some Coronas with me
