well i was reading through this thread, which sparked my memory of the keyless go chime while door open, and realized that my e63 has NEVER made this chime (which i remember from other's cars in the past)....
2nd owner - bought the car at 33k miles

Wish mine didn't make the noise as it's very annoying. Key is usually in my pocket so the chime is worthless to me. I've been looking to see if there was a way to turn it off and so far no luck.
If yours doesn't do this then either they changed that "feature" or maybe there is a way to turn it off.
I'd be interested to hear what others w/ keyless go know about this.

My '08 E63 has never made this chime. I read in a past post somewhere, that the chime was disabled due to consumer complaints. I personally don't know what the previous annoyance sounded like.

My '07 E63 never chimed not once, my '09 chimes every freaking time. If you hit the up arrow before exiting the car it will be quiet. Problem is I can't freaking remember, so the chime continues.....
