How much do you guys think this is worth

The car is in good condition and it's never given me any serious problems.

The car also has a 70,000/5 year $100 deductible extended warranty through Chrysler Service Contracts. (It's covered until about 118,000 miles or October 2014)

I ask because I'm (for the first time since I got it) seriously considering selling it. I want to either get into a W211 E55 wagon or a used SL65. 2 Completely different ways to go, I know. I think one day I'll just flip a coin and decide.

Also, I'm the cars Third owner, I've had it since October 2007. What do you guys think? Thanks

Edit: The car also has aftermarket HID low beams and fogs. I know it's not a big deal but I figured I'd throw it in.

Just remember not to attach "sentimental" value to the car. None of this, "I'll sell it if I get the right offer" because in this market it's not likely to come. There are plenty of other cars out there and I'm not even talking just E55's.

My philosophy is this: first decide whether or not you truly want to sell and get into something else. Then price your vehicle to move relatively quickly (first few weeks to a month). I personally hate waiting months for a sale and one could argue that I don't get the "max dollar amount" out of what I sell, but my reason for selling a vehicle is to move on to something else, not to have second thoughts on the sale.

I begin looking, testing, and possibly a little negotiation the closer my vehicle gets to sale. I got rid of an suv for the E55 and completed the sale of the suv the same day I picked up the e55 (both private party deals). Sold the suv when gas prices were at their peak in 2008 within 2 weeks for a price I was comfortable with.

I'm by no means saying to short yourself for a quick sale, I'm just saying once you decide to sell, detach yourself emotionally and determine how much you value getting top $ out of one versus the time you could be spending in that new vehicle.

Pretty close with the others at 28-29k. You may also see if you can sell back your warranty. You're probably not going to get that added value in the sale.

How much can I get a similar mileage E55 wagon for? How much can I get a SL65 (with more miles obviously)? I'm just seeing which one of the two would be possible for me.

Can you do that with the Chrysler Warranty?

I took my car to get appraised at Carmax just for shlts and giggles, and they offered me $35k.

I don't know current prices for the E55 Wagon, but for the SL65, the price vary greatly based on year and mileage. I've seen them range from the $53k range for 2005 models all the way to the $100k range for 2008 models. Just note that the maintenance on the 65 models (in general) is HIGH.

The wagon will be in the 40's, likely mid to high. They are rare, most people know what they have when it's an E55 wagon, and then you have to find the right one.

It's difficult for some to swallow how far these cars have dropped. Unless you have your heart totally set on something else, sometimes it's just best to keep what you have and enjoy the car.

I'm hoping to find one on the cheaper side, and I refuse to buy it if I can't get an extended warranty on it. I might do some silly stuff, but I'm not bat **** crazy.

If I can't make this happen at a good price that's exactly what I plan on doing; keeping it until it's dead, or too expensive to maintain. It's not even that I'm sick of it or anything, it's just that I'm starting to need more space in the back and a wagon would be perfect, and once I thought about changing I started thinking of maybe getting a faster car, hence the SL65. But like I said, if they're anywhere near the same price range I'll just flip a coin for which to get and use my family's Tahoe fo work if I get the SL. lol

SL65 is the place to go if you end up selling. You're too young to have kids so the E55 wagon would be waste of money considering you already have an E55 sedan.

saw one with similar description in DC area for $35k. I say $30k would be fare price for that car.
