AMG SLE55 Kompressor!
For those of you that think the W211 looks like a Ford Taurus from the rear this could be your answer. I received my UK weekly mag today and there is an article on a 4 door coupe built on the W211 platform called the SLE which IMHO is so much better looking than the regular sedan. The article says that it will be a 2005 model year and slots between the CLK and CL coupes but with 4 doors. The styling is based on the new E-class but with a higher waist line and a very much lower roof line giving it a very powerful attractive look. It looks like it might be pillarless but the front and rear glass are only seperated by a weatherstrip with the B pillar behind it.
The AMG version will have a modified version of the new range of motors to be introduced in 2005, it will be 5.4 litres with twin superchargers giving 500HP and 700lbs of torque. ABC will be an option and wheels will be 20"diameter.
The article also says that Brabus is already working on a 6.5 litre twin superchaged V12 version with 630 HP.

Kev, its alot more aggresive now with larger wheels and fender flairs, the roofline is alot lower and the waist a lot higher and they have dropped the pillarless design as I said earlier. I mis read the numbers its a CLE55.

Muhri, I do not have a scanner so I don't know how to post them, any ideas? The rear end, compared to Kev's picture is quite different, way more aggresive and the picture shows the CLE500 so you know when AMG gets hold of it, it will have 4 pipes and a sculpertured front/rear fascia's also the wheel arches are cut bigger and rounder than Kev's pics.
The article says that it is a four seater only, the rear seats are individual seperated by a center console.
