Picked up the first set of Carbon Kevlar R4S pads from Porterfield for E63 & CLS63 AMG front calipers. These are street only pads with great bite and they produce less brake dust than OEM pads.
Tim @ Porterfield said they should run about $175 for the front set. The rears are also available.

Ahhh 400 miles after I just replaced my fronts...They look good though..!!

The thin plate on the side of the pad prevents squeaking and you don't need to apply any extra anti-squeal to the pad when you install.Originally Posted by jtc55

You can contact Tim at Porterfield. His number is 949-548-4470 or 800-537-6842. Email: timgtman@msn.com, www.porterfield-brakes.com.
I've had the rear R4S pads on my car for about a year now and love them. I'm looking forward to having less brake dust on my front wheels.

I remember you asking! When I talked to Tim about a month ago, he gave an ETA of April. Then he called me a couple weeks later and said he had a set ready for me. Originally Posted by citylightva

Nice, I'm sure they're great...I couldn't wait any longer. I only had 1.5mm left, but my rotor's were in good shape, so I went ahead and swapped before anything could chew my rotors...Originally Posted by LADY_AMG

Hm...C63's have the same calipers, right? If so, then these pads should fit.Originally Posted by Sincity

C, CLK, E, CLS all have the same calipers and rotors (63 AMG's that is) so you should be good to go with ordering..!Originally Posted by LADY_AMG

No, they will not warp the rotors. Are you installing new discs or just replacing pads? Originally Posted by julian14

There is no special break in or bedding procedure for these pads. Just install as normal, especially if you are installing them on used discs.
I'm not as familiar with OEM Brembo discs, but I do know that new Brembo GT kit discs have a special plating on them that requires a specific bedding procedure. If you are installing new discs, you may want to check on that. Regardless, your discs should not warp from these pads.

Don't mean to bust your chops but the CLK63 (non BS) and SLK55 use a smaller 6-pison fixed caliper, rotors and pads than the other AMG models. Pretty sure these pads won't fit the smaller setupOriginally Posted by citylightva

Yes, sorry I meant the BS...We had to physically pull wheels off of my E63 and my buddies C63 to prove to our BS buddy they are the same haha Originally Posted by e1000

I had the Porterfield R4S on my car and they had to be bedded in. Very rotor friendly and worked great until I went to a track where I had to brake from 130 to 45. They got overheated and wore completely out. I have Carbotech's on the way.

The R4S pads are typically street only pads. For track, I'd probably go with Ferodos. Originally Posted by Velociabstract

Expensive rotor? You're talking about your stock discs, right? These should last longer than OE and you'll have tons less brake dust.Originally Posted by julian14

No disrespect intended but there is something Hot about you talking about brake pads!
