Thinking of getting some performance wheels...but what to get?
Got stock 18 5 spoke AMG rims for the CLS and have been thinking of an upgrade
When I say upgrade I mean in the following categories:
- Performance (weight/ durability/ ability to fit 295-305 rubber on the backs)
- Looks (so am guessing will need to go 19's)
Wheels that have caught my eyes are the following:
Was looking at the New HRE carbon series…but my god they are ugly

what would you guys recommend?
The other option is CCW and they run a little heavier...24-27lb range...solid construction and fairly priced.

Seem to be a few warnings...also All the picks have been removed or are photo shops
even the ones on the CLS section....what gives?p.s i posted these links for reference. Not advertising. If mods don’t like them please remove them. Just wanted your thoughts...
Also do they have any approvel ratings such as TUF or any wheel globle standard testing?

But lots of talk about them been connected to 360
and then I ask my self this, have they been tested and have approval safety standard ratings Tuff etc
I live over seas, can not deal with hassle easily, especially when they are as heavy as rims!
Also will wait and see user feedback on them as a few guys from various forms are willing to try..some are not
in fact on 6speed a Sponsor got banned, that was dealing with them...so.....

A less expensive alternative to the new HRE Carbon Series is a set of 19” HRE Competition Series 3-piece forged wheels which sell for around $5.5K compaired to $10K for their Carbon Series. These wheels would be slightly heavier than the CF Series wheels, approximately 19.5 pounds for the front 19x8.5 and 21 pounds for the rear 19x10.5. Any of the HRE C-Series wheels would be well suited for track use and a lot less expensive to repair, if you have an off-track excursion.
