Both cars tuned by Speed Driven Inc in Palatine, Il (will discuss in more detail later) performed flawlessly. I believe these are both records for a Mercedes Benz in the standing mile. At first I was very hesitant to accept this new "tune" Marcin had for me. I finally gave in after being able to hit "only" 185 mph the first day. This is with the same power my car had run 10.70's at 129-130 before. It did as I expected and was ready to call it a day. I didn't want to go through the hassles of taking my mirrors off or lowering the car, but rather see what it performs like in real world conditions. So Marcin finally convinces me to try his new tune out. Next pass.......188.5 mph. I guess it works! I can't wait to go to the drag strip!! And NO! I'm not letting you put the old tune back in it!!!!
JC's car (soulsearcher) ...one word......WOW. I got his permission to pilot it down the standing mile and what a treat that was. 198 mph! And the official "boot" from the event for lack of safety equipment required to run over 190. A fully street driven car that drives exactly the way stock 600 does except when you mash the throttle! Those upgraded ball-bearing turbos are no joke. Full boost comes in before 3000 rpm and it keeps increasing power past 6k. I think this car can hit 200 mph in the mile with a few tweaks. The engine felt smoother than my stock turbo'd car......maybe due to less backpressure? Either way, unbelievable car. Hat's off to Marcin, this thing is a work of art

Thanks! I don't remember reading anything about a standing mile in that article featuring MKB's V12, but rather the speed achieved.

No need for Bonneville. They'll be maxed out before the mile marker by October.
