Schedule D Service Warning on My Dash - What is this?
All,
I have the maintenance schedule from MB for my 2004 E55, and just got the oil changed and all fluids checked a week ago, but a, "Schedule D Service Required" notification came up in my dashboard and I cannot find any reference to it in the service manual?![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Any guidance here would be much appreciated as I'd like to know what this is before taking it in the dealer for service.
Thanks.
Alex

Go in and have your FSS reset.
(fwiw, the same thing happened to me; I change the oil on my own schedule outside of FSS. The one time I had the dealer change the oil, the tech didn't do any reset and the "Service D" showed up on my car. Took it to my Indy and he took care of it.)

+1 I assume the OP did the brake fluid change too when he said "fluids." I understand that brake fluid can't be judged by color or moisture content, but only by copper concentration(?) I think MB says at 20k for normal driving for that reason.

Just had mine changed at 39K (first time with me as the owner). It was pretty nasty when it came out I heard. Throw some Motul 600 in there and you can feel the difference in pedal feel...

All,
Thanks very much. How can I reset the FSS myself or do I have to take it into the dealer to do that? I got the car at 23K now it has 32K, and I've already changed the oil twice so should I take it to the dealer to have the break fluid changed as well?
What's a bit frustrating is I have the service guide but I can't find anythign referencing "Schedule A or D," or any letters for that matter. Is there some document where I can get all this?
Thanks.
