I Want New Chrome Key Fob - Where To Buy?
The car I might be purchasing has the very old school key fob. I don't like it at all and wanted to see where can I get my key other than the dealer? This car has Keyless go so It has to be able to perform the tasks as such (Open Doors by door handle click, Push Start etc..) Let me know guys! How are the prices these days, i found many threads, but they are all dated in 07 and the 09 ones didn't have much Info.

As far as I know dealer is the only place to do it-and you have to have proof of ownership to order the key....it comes preprogrammed for the doors and ignition, and you have to have the dealer (or someone with STAR) pair the keyless with the ECM...if I recall you can only have 3 keys paired to the Keyless go....good luck, the ~$180-200 I spent on mine is worth it every day!

On a side note, "old-school" M-B Key Fob FTW. Leaner and lighter than the new ones, and the materials seem better, i.e it doesn't seem as prone to cracking, and EVERY newer M-B I drive always has the Star on the key starting to bronze. I also like how the Star on the older key is in its own side, without the buttons ruining it all.
