C&D rolled the 4.2 to a humiliating 12.6 in the 1/4.

My man Hammer Down can do that while txting on his cell phone.

Well...the E63 wagon is for sure. I'm guessing an E55 sedan should have no problem.

ha ha thx Jim, I actually need to update dragtimes. My cars new time is almost a second quicker than the 4.2 R8. Although I have answered the phone while crossing the finisih line while at the track. "Mom its not a good time I'm at the track racing" mom says "oh lord" LOL priceless!

What about a stock e55 v bentley continental gt speed (600 bhp) heavy car though, but does 0-60 in about 4.3, could the e55 possibly take it in a straight line?

It would be a good race. I would have to have my car delimited in order to have a chance up top but I would beat it in the 1/4 mile but I'm not sure about a standing mile as I don't drive that fast.

Can you hook the E55 on the street? That's the question.

Pure domination by the AMG. I tried to lure one the other day, he would not have any part of it. Though I noticed he was paying particular attention to my Kompressor badge.

On street tires only from a 5mph roll as I do not have much sidewall flex because of the 30 series tire. If I was on my drag radials then most definitely

Forget 0-60 times.... any magazine can publish whatever they like. An E55 can hit 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds if not high 3.9 with good conditions, but that's only the beginning. As you race for longer distances, things get really bad for the R8. Stock E55s have hit 11.7 to 11.8 on street tires and even if you discard the quickest/fastest E55s, you'll see plenty that are still hitting 11.9s to 12.0 range. Of course in a 1/2 mile or 1 mile race, the R8 should not even be considered. That car is too under-powered. It can handle very well, but not too strong in a straight line

New Wheels, Strip all seats, door panels, and trunk compartments. CF hood and trunk. My car weighed 4350 at the track with me in it.

Less gas, No seats but the drivers, door panels, rear spare, blah blah blah. We can hit 3500. VROOOOOOOOOOM!
