It has keyless go, sunshade, heated/cooled seats. Don't know about Nav yet.

It has 31k miles, should have said that first

yes, CPO's def add value...you get the warranty and the peace of mind that the cars been thoroughly checked over and certified by MB.

in the end, you must put a price on that value to you, its subjective. i bought a CPO two years ago for a good deal more than I would have paid at auction...but i valued the MB warranty and peace of mind (my car was originally sold and always maintained at the dealership i bought it from).

gluck.

Check the prices on MB pre-owned site for CPO cars. The prices there are generally higher but they have the nicest cars. I agree that 37-38 would be a good car deal.

CPO also adds an additional year of warranty. Buying from a Mercedes dealer has some additional security attached to it because they are MUCH more likely to address any post sale issues versus an independent or a private seller. Additionally you are guaranteed all the required books, keys and original equipment (like a jack...lol) are there.

That said it is still too much money
Maybe get them to come down if you offer to buy the Starmark ectended warranty. Good piece of mind and absolutely required first mod..lol.

Good luck!

$41,000 is definately on the higher end... Having said that you can have my '06 E55 Silver/charcoal,32,000 miles CPO until next March '11 and very nicely optioned for $39,500 .The car is all stock, never modified and has no paint work. I just had a service C done but it does need rear tires
LMK... These are excellent cars... Reason to sell.....i want a 996 TT

I would sell mind for $41K 16,000 miles, SL65 titanium lV 19'' wheels with new P-2's, MP Design steering wheel, ext-coverage till 7-2012. Wheels and steering wheel along are worth 7,000.

Paid $37k for my 2006 back in November. Bought it from a private-seller in Georgia, included the balance of the CPO warranty, had 29k miles, perfect condition, complete service history. Has all options except Distronic. Given that, I'd say $41k is way too high.

Car free at the moment
I paid $33K in Nov. 2009 for my '06. 33K miles, 2 years of CPO remaining, perfect condition, perfect history. Zero options - though that's what I personally prefer.

Six months down the road, these cars have depreciated perhaps $2500 more. The one you're looking has decent miles and options, but nothing spectacular. Maybe $35K would be OK, but no more. Don't forget the CPO is only one year of warranty; it will cost you $1500 for a 2nd year, and about $2500 for 2 more years.

Above $35K you should be able to buy a 2006, recondition it, and buy an aftermarket warranty for comfortably less than you would be spending at this dealer.

They've dropped the price to 39,900 on their own initiative, I see.

I just emailed them an offer of 35K.

Has pano, keyless, sunshade, bixenon, cooled seats, keyless entry. Only thing it doesn't have that mine does is parktronic

I highly doubt they will let it go for that much.If the car doesn't have any paint work/accidents and have all the options and the warranty then it's definately worth the money.
Just remember, either you pay upfront or you later

They're willing to do $36,965. I'm taking it provided only tax and tag/title, no other fees

CPO at $36,965...if you're comfortable with it...I personally think it's not bad at all.
