I bought the car without personally looking at it (I know..I shouldve requested a forum member to check it out for me) and got it inspected from a mercedes dealership (yea..we all know how reliable that is). Issue is that the seller stated he changed the tires...but the fact is that only the front tires are changed and the rear definitely need replacement. Is there anything I can do about it or I am out of luck here?

Also, obviously some newb questions. If the battery was d/c or reset, it looks like the moonroof has to be reset (OK. I found the thread on how to do it).

This forum has been nothing but great. PLENTY of useful information. Havent poked around much since I literally got the car a couple of hours ago and havent even registered it yet. Its parked in the garage for now.


Can anybody tell from the options If I have Bluetooth (and need the puck)...I will be checking the center console more carefully later on tonight but I noticed it has the phone cradle in there.

I would change the wheels along with the tires! Those are fugly! Love the car though! How much did you pay?

 

KeylessGo you should go inspect in the dealer. I had the same problem with my E500 but my indyshop couldnt fix. And for the rear tires ... You just have to change it by your cost. BTW, how much did u pay for it ? looks clean and well equiped.

paid 24k plus shipping. Yea I am not liking the wheels (but may be somebody else will..) and would probably end up replacing them with stock wheels.

Noticed another thing is that according to the vin decoder I am supposed to have the bose stereo (810 loudspeaker, sound package

Put them in the FS section....someone will buy them. Damn, mine with 30k was a steal at $25,000 then! Glad it looks like my buyer backed out. I will re-list it higher.

Yeah, WTF emoving, not with another one in the hood.... And Kool, check out the Sport Edition ST4's at Tire Rack, not a bad wheel if you can't find stock (like me...tough to get nice ones). Enjoy

Nice Car MrKool. We can be noobs together! You got a great car, and the rims can wait, maybe just lower it a little and it will look right. I would say you got a great deal, and if you are like me, you are looking for reasons to go drive. I drive around the block sometimes just because. Welcome, and have a fun time with your beast!

 

The car looks great, congrats.... and I agree with others, the stock rims look much better.

 

Thanks for the comments guys. I am gonna try to get some CR2025's for keyfob on the way home and see if that resolves the keyless go issue.

Can anybody answer the bluetooth question (is the only way to check is look in the center console)?

 

Update. Got the keyfob battery and everything is working including the keyless go.

One problem though, for some reason instead of the driver door opening (when I approach the car), the rear pass door opens all doors when i lift the handle....what gives.!! Also, the only thing in the center console is the phone cradle...does that mean I have to spend a grand to get bluetooth..!!!!!

take a picture of the phone cradle. if you have this then you will either need the puck or puck with tail. I will get you a link. do you have hands free stalk on the upper R steering column. ( looks like the cruise control but on the R side of steering wheel.
