Pictures of rear mounted resevoirs?

I have searched and searced but haven't found any really good pictures...yeah I know, picky, picky!! But any chance of getting some pictures of rear-mounted resevoir set-ups? We are halfway through the install and just wondering the best route to run the lines out of the tunk. Thanks much.

Whatever we're tuning!
Cut a hole in the trunk, run the lines over the roof, down the center of the windshield and just run them between the wipers and hood.

You should be able to figure out the rest Charlie!!!!

Luv ya buddy!

I drilled two holes, between battery and tank. Let me know if you need better pics, I need to put up on the lift this weekend to make sure everything is ok...

Call me crazy, but doesnt that make your trunk virtually unusable ???
I realize this mod works...but so does NOS and it works on the same principle - One tank only lasts so long and then it's time for a refill...

Now lemme just go find my nomex....

Not at all, you just lose the spare wheel.

nothing like n2o...unless you're confusing this with a meth injection system. also, the reservoir mounts under the trunk space so our trunk looks completely stock until you lift the hinged cover. early e55's didn't come with a spare tire so it was just wasted space anyways.

I'm not confusing it for anything other than what it is - an untenable and unsustainable way of temporarily preserving horsepower.
Or better yet, a cooling additive that you have to refill after each pass at the drags. At least a full bottle of NOS gives you more than just one pass. So perhaps you're right, it's nothing like NOS....because NOS lasts longer.
I think we should start calling them "redneck radiators".

lmao! sorry it happened to be me correcting your poor assumptions about this mod taking up trunk space and working on the same principles as n2o. as ignorant as the n2o statement was, i was trying to be polite and give you the benefit of the doubt for confusing the tank for a meth injection system but whatever...

regardless, at least your second effort was correct...it's just a temporary way of preserving hp.

Exactly - and one could argue that NOS is the same as it's simply a temporary power adder. And how was my statement ignorant if you just agreed with me about it being a temporary and unsustainable fix ?

i only agreed with your second statement that the reservoir is simply a power "preserver". in fact, it's only a mediocre band-aid until a real iat solution becomes available. since many of us feel it's necessary to separate the i/c system from the engine coolant system, an i/c reservoir must be added. so instead of squeezing one that's the size of a coffee cup in the engine bay, some of us elected to go with a slightly more efficient alternative and mounted one with usable capacity in the unused trunk space.

n2o is a power "adder" who's only remotely functional commonality to these reservoirs is that they temporarily reduce iat's...but their methods are still incomparable.

haters crazy
Increasing the capacity of the cooling system provides better heatsoak resistance. No need to refill or anything. Adding ice is just icing on the cake because it lowers IAT's below ambient. Nitrous involves injecting N2O into the motor. In this case you aren't injecting anything into the motor, just cooling the air going in. You are talking about 2 completely different things. Would you consider an intercooler and nitrous the same too? What about using an oil/trans cooler?

Just to add some more confusion...

LZH, are you talking about injecting N20 into the engine, or using it to cool the h/e? If the latter, generally people use C02, though the tank may look the same.

Great pics Paul thanks for sharing

While we're on the topic, what size are these reservoirs?
