2003 E55 Misfire When Warm - Help
72k on 2003 E55, Code is misfire on #5. Replaced plugs and exchanged coil pack #5 for #6. Still misfiring on #5. Runs perfectly when cold for about 20-60 minutes, then CEL comes on and rough idle and low power. Plug wires all "clicked" normally and just wondering if anyone has dealt with this before. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You cleared the code after you swapped the coil pack?
What did the plugs look and smell like when you replaced them?
You might have a bad injector. Swap it to another cylinder and see if the problem follows. Make sure you clear the code before starting it up again.

Did not clear the code, but the CEL did go off and then back on. The plugs looked uniformly clean and well burnt. I'll try the injector swap and get the code reset.

Fixed!
Thank you all for your support and suggestions. Turned out to be Injector on #5 and an intermittent problem on the #2 injector. Replaced both and is running like a champ. No further problems!!

I have a 2003 E55
im having the same exact issue in the same exact cylinder! I even took my heads off and got them repaired! Still keeps missing in #5. Was gonna trynna coils and wires but swapped them around and nothing changed. Problem seems to fix temporarily when I turn the car off and back on. it will act up when im holding my brakes too long then it will lose power and wont let me kick down till I turn it off and back on then it fixes again. Check engine light always comes on and sometimes it cuts off!
