Anyone have a solid contact for actual MB warranty's
Cannot believe I am doing this but it seems like I am thinking of buying a warranty and who else better to go with but MB. Before I march down to the local stealership, do any of you guys have a good relationship with someone at MB that can get me into a warranty, no BS or up selling or getting raped, just staright to the point for a good price.
Much appreciated for any help.

In addition there's also that woman in Chico CA, Lisa Lehrbaum at Courtesy Motors. You'll find a lot of threads about her.
Take a look at this website: http://www.checkbook.org/auto/ExtendedService.cfm
It shows that her markup is $200 over cost. Apparently many dealers mark up $600-900 over cost.

with that kind of pricing you might as well front the bills as they come up, damn those warranties are expensive. I am going to the local stealership this weekend to get quotes and I will post them up for comparison's sake.

No this is not correct. I have purchased MB Extended warranties on used cars. Inspection, under 50K miles, and not being gray market will qualify you.

Yes they are rather expensive, but with no deductible and with how much one repair such as airmatic, etc, it could easily go over the cost of the warranty. It is a toss up to some degree.

I am assuming the rules for MB warranty are very similar in the US as in Canada. Correct me if that is not the case.
If you are the original owner, you can buy the MB ELW (Extended Limited Warranty) at any time during the original warranty period (4 years, 80,000kms). If it is after the first year of ownership, you need an inspection and an oil change done at the time of purchase. The inspection is about $150.
If it is a pre-owned vehicle, you only have one chance to buy the ELW. It must be done the day you purchase the used vehicle, and you must buy the vehicle from an MB dealership. MB does not offer their warranty to people who bought the car elsewhere, period. Once again, the inspection/oil change is mandatory.
The term CPO is used in the US...this is the same as what i am talking about.
You can take what i have said above as gospel as far as Mercedes-Benz Canada's rules on warranty.
