The mustang was in the right lane - nothing's worse than seeing an ambulance tearing down the track.

Clayton-Ur in trouble Mr! Inviting my BF to a redneck track where he has to dodge car doors and parts on his bald DR's! OMG! I'm jk it's not your fault. That's some pretty mad skillz to pull off 10's in those conditions. Get your butt home BB for some lovin. Get out of redneck country ASAP! Ugggg

I can tell that BT is very competitive. He did very well for his first time on the track. With practice, comes better '60s. I have no doubt he'll get it dialed in during our next rental. With good DA and a set of DRs, he has a 11.9x-12.0x car, in my opinion.

After looking at my timeslip, my breakout run was by 7/1000s (.007)

That same 15 second IROC knocked out another 11 second car in the second round.

haters crazy
Thanks everyone. I was going to do a baseline run and then add ice and cool down to see what gains it made but it just wasn't safe. I was almost side by side with that racecar at the 1/8th and he had me by a bit close to the 1/4 and thats when he got squirrely and slammed into the wall. It was pretty scary going 130ish mph doding flying parts and the door and hoping his car didnt come flyig over into me. I did put ice in it leaving the track and it felt great! Awesome runs again Clayton, you are so consistent it's unreal That drop in DA when the sun went down did you in. BT, I knew you would love drag racing. Now you're hooked and the rentals are 10X more fun! Great first outing! I'm ok Angela, just a close call. You ready for Bermuda?

I know and I was just teasing you. Someone I know died at a professional race last weekend so this hit home. I talked to Ahmad right after the guy almost hit him and it unnerved him a bit. He isn't afraid of anyone or anything and has the biggest cojones of anyone I know; so his reaction upset me. Reality sunk in when he reminded me of my cars and fun races I do in them. Doh! Just want everyone on this board to come home in one piece. You guys seem pretty cool in the East. I look forward to hanging out with you guys at MIR this fall.

BB-HECK YEAH! Izzz so spoiled.

I was just giving you a ration of poopoo. Mainly because I thought you were MY girlfriend. When you come out for the big MIR rental, Ahmad and I will thumb wrestle for your honor. To the victor, goes the spoils.

I just love the fact I get to play little brother and get your hand me downs

I can tell that BT is very competitive. He did very well for his first time on the track. With practice, comes better '60s. I have no doubt he'll get it dialed in during our next rental. With good DA and a set of DRs, he has a 11.9x-12.0x car, in my opinion.
Thanks Clayton (and THANK YOU so much for making the decision to come out an easy one). It really was a blast (except for the ambulance part) but I can't wait for the next rental. Any time you want to go back out there, let me know (I'm not going for times - just to work solely on my 60). Watching you do your thing (and seeing Ahmad do something similar) with different cars, with different set ups, with different tires and just always amazing consistency reminds me of the old cliche "a good craftsman never blames his tools"

Awesome first time. With patience and practice you will get there! And with the crop of friends that you have(see above and Chaz too) you are in great hands!!!!
Thanks Bruce, these guys are tremendous. Not only are they good, have incredible knowledge but are some of the most genuinely good people I have met.

BT, I knew you would love drag racing.
I love the fact that 1) you can't just mash and go (I did that every time and my 60 show how effective that is. 2) skill is definitely a major component of the game 3) time slips are absolute and finite - no arguements The fact that I get to tag along and bite off of you guys, well

Found a few pics on the 75-80 Dragway website. Looks like they snapped a few of my car.

1. Icing down in the pits
2. Running down that 15 second IROC in the 1st round of eliminations
3. Apparently that IROC won the whole damn thing.....LOL
