belt tentioner question

Just wondering if its supposed to move when trying to losen the bolt to adjust it.My car is slowy getting worse belt slip and Im using the stock pulley.

both the belt tensions on the 55k motor are spring loaded. are you talking about a belt wrap kit bolt?

is that the one right up top on the left of the s/c pulley? I went to losen it and the whole thing would move and I didnt want to mess with it to much since I need the car tonight.

yes you use a 17mm wrench to move the tension assembly to the left to release the tension of the belt so you can slip it off.
