any idea on how much a tune will cost at the track? I just picked up a 178mm pulley and i'll be getting long tube headers and upgrading the heat exchanger/intercooler pump soon too(hopefully before next friday) Anyone know of any members or local Virginia/maryland shops that do good work for a decent price?

Ahmad...getting a tuner to the track was a great idea. That way you can tweak your air/fuel if need be for weather conditions, etc. If they had a pocket tuner, you would be set too.

All we can do is sit back and hope it doesn't rain. MIR said I was crazy for worrying about 30% chance of rain this far out

LOL...great idea! Is there a place around there? Better yet...why not do some runs in the AM and then the other place in the afternoon?

I was informed that MIR announced the track rental over the weekend at one of the events and was going to charge $10 for spectators. I obviously didn't like that, especially since I was never told about this and had never had a spectator fee at any of my previous track rentals (many). So I talked to them and unfortunately I was told it was true and they wouldn't change their mind about it. Their concern is people staying for the night event and not paying entry fee even though I dont think that has ever happened at any of our rentals. So after negotiating here is what we came up with. Spectators pay $10 when they enter the track but as long as you leave before 6 you get your $10 back. Sorry, I tried.

Sure does Still keeping my fingers crossed though haha

There are a few people trying to put together a Springfield VA meeting point then cruise to meet others at:

Wawa at 16410 Mckendree Rd, Brandywine, MD 20613. This is a good halfway spot for the MD and VA guys to link up and caravan down. Meet here at around 8am and roll out by 8:30 to head to the track

Others are trying to start a Columbia meeting point to cruise to Wawas too. I will post as soon as they decide a meeting spot in case anyone wants to caravan down

prepare for the beat down (on pump gas no less). Just so we're clear - I would like two 2 dollar bills and a American Eagle dollar coin...

Who is thinking about a lunch plan? I will submit a donation for the cause...

Oh, Ahmad...can we please have Jason go over rules for everyone so we don't have to deal with issues of water being dragged to the starting line? If you aren't going to do a real burnout, please go around the water and not straight through it!!!

Good thinking!!! I always starve at track days haha

I'm sure Jason will give the whole speech since there will be some real racecars there ($200k-$500k). I'm thinking he will want to keep street tire cars to one lane as well.

Where are you meeting Derrick, is it confirmed yet? Traffic is gonna be a pretty horrible on the Pike at that time. Might be better to meet somewhere right off of 270 instead. What about Montgomery Mall?

I don't really care that much. Actually, since you're in G-Burg, I gotta roll right by you on my way to Rockville. You wanna just hook up in G-Burg/Germantown instead.

You tell me.

Not confirmed yet. Montgomery Mall sounds good but getting onto 495 towards CP is gonna be a pin from there. We need to come up with a place whee Derrick can turn his trailer around too

Where is Derrick coming from? Should we just meet on the other side of College Park? There's the Greenbelt Marriott, right off of Kenilworth Ave. You can see it from 495, off to the left. There is also an office building complex right there too. There should be plenty of room from him there.

You tell me. Just let me know something tonight, so I know when to set my alarm.
