So much for showing up with a clean car tomorrow.
All of the roads are wet up here, and I doubt they'll be dry at 6 am tomorrow morning. Dirty cars are slower, right?

Alright donkeys! I'm loaded up and ready to go. Come look for me if you need any of the following:
Cordless impact gun
Hand torque wrench
Socket set
Cordless air pump
Beverages
Ahmad and I are meeting at the efffing crack of dawn, so we should be the first to arrive. See you guys there. Don't forget your helmet!
I'll also bring my Auto Enginuity scanner if someone wants to do some data logging.

Headed there soon...don't give me any grief about the trailer. I have a jack and assorted tools if anyone needs to borrow them.

Well, their weather looks good, at least no rain.
Current track temp high 70's, suppose to go to low 80's in the early afternoon.
Good luck guys and show some times
Edit: this is what MIR's web site states

cornfed gtr and m3
It was hot, there were a ton of cars, and track prep wasn't up to normal MIR snuff. No records were set. That being said, Brian, worth the wait, showed a GTR and a 997tt what AMG power is all about. The 997tt smack down was exceptional!! BTs car went 11.8 with the master behind the wheel. Ahmad was his usual consistent self. And my best et was an 11.42 and trap was a 122.59. It was a good time out there and thanks again to Ahmad for setting it up!!

Dirt Scooters
The heat was a big killer today, best run of the day for me was a 12.11 at 114.96 with a 175mm pulley and Jeremy (OE tuning) did a tune at the track that picked up over .4 tenths and a solid 4+ mph.

nothing new for me. Broken rear parts again but on my S65 this time. During the burnout the left wheel caught and led to a big crunch. I must have a black cloud over my head with parts breakage. The pinion sheared at the rear end housing...a familiar sight as my s600 broke the exactly same way but under the influence of n20. Only difference was the s600 broke on the starting line. Best run of the day was nothing special as the track was unusually slick....not the typical MIR track prep. Ran against Clayton in his SL600 for my best pass of 11.61@123.06. Crappy 1.95 60'. He could muster an impressive 1.80 with his 20" street tires which was baffling to me. One wheel burnouts suck!! My car would tire shake and thump with a half throttle launch. Next time will be different.

I am starting to plan the next one but have a few questions for everyone:
1) Did you get the number of runs that you wanted in (racers)? Do you think you would have if the outlaw cars weren't there?
2) Should we do 2 rentals (mid Oct weekday and early Nov on weekend) or 1 last rental at the end of Oct on a weekday?
I want everyone to be happy with the rentals, otherwise there is no point in doing them. The outlaw cars are badass to watch but take forever to line up and run. I'm thinking without them we could have no/minimal lines

I never use dragtimes, I always use my own handheld weather station to get accurate readings at the track. Dragtimes is always, and I mean always lower than my handheld by at a difference of 300-400. I get much more accurate results using underground weather combined with smokemup.
Here is the hottest part of the day at MIR according to these sites. You'll probably find it more accurate than the lame numbers dragtimes gives. The other night I went to the track my handheld had the weather between 1400-2100 and it was 91 degrees when we arrived at the track. Dragtimes had it about 6-8 degrees cooler and 900-1500 DA. My best times were 11.022 and 11.033 on the slip and the vbox had me at 128 mph.
Your results:
Air Temp 87 (°F)
Station Pressure 29.98 (in)
Dew Points 58.3 (°F)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Density Altitude 1945.3 (feet)
EDIT: My bad, I was looking at Mechanicsville, Va not Maryland. Wunderground had the temp at high 70's also. Either way my like I stated my handheld is always used at the track and DA is always higher than what is stated. I guess it wouldn't matter as long as you use the same source everytime to keep track.

Yea it was hot and slick. Not a good combo! No prob, thanks for coming.
Yea I think the DA was even higher at the track. Dragtimes says 78 degrees as a high? No way!
Nice improvement! Nice to meet you as well
That suckssss. I like the "Next time will be different"

Ahmad, I hear many guys mention that there were too many cars this time around.... why were there that many cars in a private event? If they were all cars that were accounted for, maybe you guys should break it up into 2 days
