Random people are making it hard for me to let my car go...
So today I went to Discount tire to get my old wheels swapped out with new wheels. 3 techs tell me on 3 separate occasions how amazing, sweet, etc. my car is. One tech said "I envy you" and had a bunch of questions. Then when the car is ready two customers come out to the parking lot while the car is pulling out to see the car. Another guy is glued to the window. Next I go to the car wash the ticket guy said the car was to low. The glass guy yells out he comes here every other week his car is sick it has a lift button. So I show the guy how it works the glass guy says he looks forward to when I come in, because it's one of two of his favorite cars that come in regularly. Finally head to the gas station and another guy comes up to me to talk about the car. Normal stuff how much power, cost, how fast I've gotten it up to, etc. It common that my car gets attention when I take it out, but today was way over the top.
I see and drive the car regularly so I'm jaded I guess. It's also Denver and nice cars are not as popular like they are in places like So.Cal. However, it just reminds me how great these cars really are. I'm still set on selling but, days like today make it hard. Plus, I went out for a nice drive... The car has never felt or ran better!
I thought I'd share the story with you guys.

It's a car wash I trust, they hand wash it for me. They give me the VIP service every time. I live in a loft now so it's difficult for me to wash my car on my own... Otherwise I would agree with you.

I am pretty sure it's the tamer exhaust of the two. I do not think it's the race. In any event it makes the car so much more enjoyable. My favorite mod next to the DTM steering wheel.

Eric, you currently own the cleanest example of w211. Tastefully modded perfectly clean lines, rare as they can come. The next owner will be blessed to own such a machine she will be missed greatly, but the f car replacement will be welcomed with open arms I'm sure

*Please excuse the Ghey pop music... If the surge tanks look white, they're not. They are just super clean, I had them bead blasted and ended up not getting them powder coated. Shop wanted another 3 weeks to get me in.

GL with the sale. Car looks great, I'm sure it'll sell quick.
(you mentioned in your eBay ad that CSC is the best warranty out there. Does that take in account the MB extended factory warranty? Since the CSC is no longer, that really just leaves the MB one and a few other aftermarket companies. I qualify for the MB one, and am thinking about it if I decide to keep the car over 4 years. Do you think the CSC was maybe even better than the MB?)

Thanks... I think I'm getting close with a couple interested parties. We will see...
As far as the warranty goes, My service advisor was just commenting on how easy they have been to work with. He calls, tells them the problem, they ask what the part and labor cost is and they give him an approval code. He said that none of the other companies are that easy to deal with. I had my car originally on CPO and never had a problems. I only had one minor repair while under CPO though. I think if you can get a Mercedes extended warranty you will be in good hands. Unfortunately, CSC now has very strict milage/year requirement and the cost of the warranty is high.

200ft of garden hose, kitchen faucet adapter, problem solved. As old as the E55 W211 platform is, it still receives alot of attention but even more so if you have pano roof and nice wheels.

LOL in theory that sounds good. However, I live on the opposite side of the building and on the 7th floor... 200ft will not make it... I love washing my cars but where I live it's just not an option. The majority of the people that ask about the car think it's new. It really is a great design, timeless.

It is funny that you posted this, because I have been having a lot of compliments on my car lately too. People have been calling the car 'sinister' or 'evil' or some other name to imply the car is simply wicked. Every time I go to the dealer the service guys always comment on how bada$$ the car is, and they usually apologize for giving me a loaner car that is not as nice as the E63.
